Yearly synopsis:

I applied for Study Abroad to Yokohama but did not get accepted in the highly competitive slots. I also attempted to apply for an intensive comics program in summer but was unable to complete the application process due to information withheld from me, which was not the program’s fault.

Allowed my friend, Inner Glow Illustrations, to split my SacAnime Winter booth as a farewell present to him before he moved for university. He was very successful! It was my first time splitting a booth and he vlogged the con. (Check his Facebook page for it!)

SacAnime summer I was back to boothing by myself and with my first products with my art- travel mug tumblers!

I worked very hard to make them despite my debilitating mysterious and nearly deadly skin condition (still not diagnosed). I was working this summer as a caretaker but unfortunately ended up having to stop because I was in the ER for three nights in a row before admitted as in-patient until I could be stabilized. I spent my time outside the hospital stuck at home, instructed not to leave except for doctor's appointments, until just before the start of the semester. Mental fogginess and severe fatigue from the many medications I have been on made me unable to use my usual potential, despite trying my absolute hardest, and so I was assigned a case manager by the university and dropped two classes for the first time with grant forgiveness due to documented medical reasons. I've gained a lot of weight due to the steroids that saved my life, but exercise triggers the rashes, so I'm grateful but also frustrated about how to become a healthier weight again.

Before hospitalization, I also worked on and completed the art for a Kawaii Eggplant comic but was unable to finish applying screen-tone on the computer before my personal deadline. (Updates on Facebook.)

I bought my first brand-name lolita fassion dress from Bodyline, but only secondhand. (I will not buy them directly from the company for ethical reasons.) It is light pink covered in frills. I have another one too of no reputable brand, and while this one has a print and I would love to wear it, I gained too much weight to do so after the hospital. I can barely squeeze into the Bodyline one, but I can! I wore it to  my first time helping host SacAnime's Lolita Morning Tea, as I will be regularly now.

My uncle was dying for over a month and finally passed in November. Rest his sweet soul.
My friend Cecelia tagl passed away in March, but I did not know until shortly after I returned to DA after my laptop was repaired to a workable state in September.

My boyfriend and I celebrated our first anniversary on July 4th.

:star:New Year's Resolution:
Honestly, just try to stay alive at this point.
Every year seems to be trying to kill me in some abstract way from the celiac disease last-chance diagnosis in 2015, car accident in 2016, and a mysterious skin condition this year in 2017. I may be super unhealthy and unlucky, but damn it, I need to make a comic. Death needs to stop trying to take me until my goals are done.

Yeah! I'll be the one making the games and collects the prizes for each year. ^^ Hopefully I'll be coming in a new dress too.
Thank you very much! It was a very different skin shading technique than my usual characters. ^^

Nice! Thank you for telling me so. I was thinking that people might not like those images since the mugs have not sold at cons yet.

People can be hesitant to pay for things. Even I am lol, I wanted to buy a MLP plush for some time but I've been simply too shy ^^; And sometimes people don't like buying things unless it's from a popular supermarket or shop where they believe they can trust it's value for quality. I paid $10 for a Zelda rag doll like that, but mum says I was cheated because she looks cheaply made. But I still think she's cute :aww:

What you think matters more. My parents were the same way when I bought a tumbler mug for $20 (same distributor as the ones that I am selling) that someone put 3 limited-edition 90s collectible holographic double-sided sticker cards for Sailor Moon in it that can be removed. I love that thing! I used that mug for over a year and even though it is slightly smaller than average, it has held up better than any other tumbler mugs I have had! Which is why I chose it. :)

Omg Sailor Moon! :happybounce: I wish I watched it when I was growing up, but now it's no longer on TV. I'm in love with those characters even though I never saw a single episode lol Sweating a little...  Instead I saw a couple of episodes of Card Captors which was also good :meow:

I saw Card Captor on TV too!
Sailor Moon ever actually came in once on our TV when it fixed in some of my neighbor's cable signals. I mostly just hear audio among black and white static and for about three seconds, there was a black and white visual of all the scouts facing a bad guy. It had to have been from the first season. I loved it so much, I sat through the whole half hour of static do the little blips of information I could get. About a year later at Hollywood Video, a VHS rental store, I wandered into a section that I had never been to before and found the characters on VHS boxes! I rented every single one that had, one once every week for years, to the point the manager told me that they would be mine if ever they closed. When he retired, he left s note for the next manager, and so on. About 15 years later, they kept their promise when the location closed.

Aw that's sweet of them! I watched a lot of Pokemon from my VHS rental store, but my parents didn't like the ones with ghost and psychic Pokemon. I eventually watched most of Season 1 and 2 in my VHS rental store, including the movies on Entei and Mewtwo. But when the store closed those films were quickly sold to others...

Yeeeeah. A lot of parents didn't like Pokemon because churches chimed against them as promoting witchcraft. My ex best friend and her sisters were banned from having them because their Christian private school banned them and sent notes home to all the parents saying so. Ridiculous. They used to hide the cards though, lol.
