When I am short of time and I am tired after a day at work I don't always feel up to diving straight into a piece of art for 4 or 5 hours, but I also don't want to not draw at all and waste a day. I am sure everyone on DA with a busy family and work life has the same problem, its nothing new. My sketchbook is my go to at this point, no pressure just sit with it on your lap and doodle away. Anyway to the point - most of the time this ends up being a few pages of random doodles but every so often an image is thrown up that you think needs taking to the next level. A lot of my DA submissions have come about this way.
And the image below is no different. I was thinking about the immortal emperor of mankind in WH40K and more specifically about John Blanches interpretation of that scene. While this piece is not the emperor I just felt it had a 40K feel to it. Not being hugely familiar with that world history I thought I would try and get that feedback from you guys. Any suggestions or ideas would be gratefully received.
Ok got a small response but enough to make me do a bit more on the image - here is the update -
