I just came back from New York and am pumped to make stuff. My goal is that for the next 30 days I draw 1 portrait a day.

just curious...i looked at a few portraits and your drawings have a sculpted look about them. again very nice. I also enjoy drawing portraits..I am trying to get really good at it. About how much time do you invest in a single portrait....they are on large paper so i am guessing a while. Again keep up the work I am mesmerized by it...visual seduction....i want to get so close up to them and look at all the details

it does obviously depend on the size of paper, but also my mood :) On a 11x15" sheet, if Im going to have the portrait cover the whole thing I will probably spend anywhere between 2-6 hours on it (over a single sitting or 2 at most). I kinda have a short attention span so I dont like a drawing taking much more time than that.

Bad scan when you enlarge it? Otherwise, all these portraits, I like the whole series. Who are they, I thought I recognized a few..
