With the blink of an eye it's now December and NaNoEmo has finished for another year. It has been an absolute delight to see a number of emoticonist take part, breathing some life back into a community that is dormant for much of the year.
To add to the celebrations, two of the entries received a Daily Deviation (DD) and one emoticonist ( @MerelyCubed) managed to complete the "30 in 30" challenge - a truly impressive achievement.

Kinda. We normally host one event a year in November, sometimes with a second event in the summer months. So most of the time it is in hibernation until the next event occurs.
NanoWrimo (the inspiration behind this group) works the same way.
The difference is that NanoWrimo is for writers and takes place in October instead. It's a challenge to write a 50,000-word novel, from start to finish, in only a month. Some people choose to write poetry instead though, or several short stories.
