Finally new journal. It’s been 2 years since my last journal entry. My laziness got the better of me. My life now revolves around job search and studying for the Japanese Proficiency Exam, which I unwittingly applied for and now deeply regret. Took a look at the vocab list for the level one test today at Joe’s Japanese Proficiency Exam Page (http://www.thbz.org/kanjimots/jlpt-voc-1.utf) and realized that my Japanese teacher must have been drunk on madness to think that me taking this exam is a good idea. My grandma passed away today... I knew that she has been ill for many years and that she probably didn't have much time left, but when it does happen, I was still quite shakened up. My mother visted her 2 days ago, and she was still alive and well...but now she's suddenly gone... We didn't get along very well, but I was still sad because my grandpa was sad. My father obviously didn't like her very much. When I told him the news today, the first thing he said was "So, did you guys buy sushi?".
