1. Ten different favorite characters from 10 different fandoms.
2. Tag 10 different people.
Extra: Explain why those ten are your favorite.
(Note: These are in no particular order, other than Elizabeth being number 1.)
1. Elizabeth Hedervary/Hungary (Axis Powers Hetalia)
She's really the reason I ever became interested in Hetalia, which in turn made me interested in anime. Yep, I would have never became such a huge anime nerd if it weren't for her, so it should come as no surprise that I have a spot for her that is softer than a dark brown banana. She's adorable, beautiful, has motherly qualities, and can whoop anyone's ass, despite being a relatively small woman.
2. Angela Ziegler/Mercy (Overwatch)
This precious combat medic just wants the best for everyone, and does everything in her power to make the world better. On top of being absolutely beautiful, she's so pure that I don't see how anyone can dislike her.
3. Charlotte Aulin (Castlevania)
This shouldn't really come as much of a surprise, since she's been my profile picture for quite some time. What isn't there to love about her? She's cute, smart, and can seriously kick some ass with her magic spells.
4. Mitsuru Kirijou (Persona)
I'm not going to lie: When I first saw her, I thought: "Ugh, just another rich bitch type of character." She has that stoic, high-maintenance look that would you to believe she just looks down on middle-class society as peasants, and yes, she comes from the highly wealthy Kirijou family, but fortunately her disposition is nothing like that. Quite the opposite, actually. She feels at fault for problems her family caused, even though she never did anything wrong herself, and she does everything she can to help her friends, family, and society as a whole, rather than using her inherited wealth for more materialistic pursuits. It's really quite impossible to sum up her entire character to a small section like this, so take it from me, you'll want to know more about her.
5. Lisa Lisa/Elizabeth Joestar (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 2: Battle Tendency)
Battle Tendency is easily my favorite arc in JoJo, and Lisa Lisa is one of many reasons why. Until Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable, most women in JoJo were side characters who played negligible roles in the main story, making Lisa Lisa even more of a standout character. She kicked ass and trained Joseph to kick ass, using some very tough love on him in order for him to perfect his Hamon techniques. Keep in mind this was in the 30s too, during a time when women weren't viewed as more than housewives, and she was having none of that shit!
6. Rick Sanchez (Rick and Morty)
Honestly, is there anything to say about Rick that hasn't already been said? A condescending super-genius that says more truthful things when drunk than some people do when completely sober. He's so unlikable that he's likable.
7. Miles "Tails" Prower (Sonic the Hedgehog)
He's a small, adorable 8-year-old fox with two tails, so it's just his pure innocence that makes us all adore him, right? Ha, wrong. This badass little motherfucker is 8 YEARS OLD, and can build AIRPLANES and ROBOTS! Why the fuck isn't he in college already? He's a little 8-year-old that's accomplished more than I probably will in my entire lifetime. Yet, he's modest enough to be Sonic's little sidekick for some reason. Why is he holding himself back? Does he just wanna make the pathetic blue hedgehog feel better about himself? Does he wanna keep attention away from himself so he can plan world domination with no suspicions? Or does he just wanna lower society's expectations so no one bothers him with their petty-ass problems? We will never know...
8. Helena Douglas (Dead or Alive)
She's similar to Mitsuru, inheriting wealth but being a very gentle woman that exudes elegance. That shouldn't come as a surprise, as she is a French woman after all. She's not quite as complex as Mitsuru is, but that's because the Dead or Alive games never have super-deep stories, and don't explore character development a whole ton. That's a very good thing, though, because the last thing I need in a straightforward fighting game is to have a large story interrupt the action.
9. Chai Xianghua (Soul Calibur)
As with all the women of Soul Calibur, she is breathtakingly beautiful, and honestly looks kind of frail for someone in a fighting game. She has such an upbeat personality and isn't as hypersexualized as many of the other women in the series. On top of that, her fighting style is one of much finesse, and is just as beautiful as she herself is. I still won't get over her ending in SCIV though, she did not deserve that.
10. Filia (Skullgirls)
A cutie with a -booty- heart of gold. She's quite a standout for a character full of women with selfish desires, and of course that means that her ending as just as depressing as every other character in Skullgirls. She's huggable, and would make a perfect girlfriend, provided one could get past the menacing parasite, Samson, that acts as her hair.
