Cheetah Mask by Namingway Cheetah Mask by Namingway
Whew. This one was a lot of work! It's a cheetah, of course, with gold-orange fur and a slight reddish undertone. The eyes are metallic green flecked with gold. The curling design you see is reminiscent of a tree, with additional root-like patterns on either side of the eyes. There's a red gem in the center of the forehead. This mask is meant to be hung on a wall, but you can wear it, as well. There are two holes in the pupil of each eye for you to see out of. The field of vision is limited, so I wouldn't recommend driving or anything, but it should be fine for parties and the like. This one is roughly 9" tall by 6" wide. It was completely hand sculpted and painted, with an artist's stamp on the back.

This mask is $250 and may be found here- [link]

Amazing. The reason I follow you is that is inspirational seeing someone do a litte different stuff than the usual painting and drawing. I do all sorts of stuff my self, much that I never put here but making masks has never even occured to me. I find it very fascinating. If you mind me asking, how do you do them? Is it earthenware, pottery and glazing?

Nope! It's a kind of sculpting resin that cures with time into a lightweight, durable material. I then paint them. I've never gotten the hang of pottery glazes...they tend to be very unpredictable. XD
