The Bluths- White Staircar by nakedDerby The Bluths- White Staircar by nakedDerby
Here is my submission for the upcoming "There's Always Money in the Banana Stand" art tribute to the wonderful TV show "Arrested Development", taking place at Gallery 1988: Melrose on Friday, June 29th from 7-10pm. The gallery is located at:

7020 Melrose Avenue
Los Angeles, CA 90038

In case you missed it, this portrayal of the Bluths (and in-law, Tobias) is an homage to the Beatles' "Yellow Submarine". The inspiration came from the idea of a "blue" Tobias being a "Blue Meanie", and the rest just fell into place from there...

"White Staircar"
11" x 14"
Giclée print on archival paper
signed and numbered edition of 20

The print has sold out at the gallery, but I have made a select amount of prints available through my ETSY page: [link]

AMAZING! I LOVE IT! The art style is very unique! What is it called?

Thanks for the kind words! The style is a result of just trying to pay homage/tribute to the style of the Beatles animated film "Yellow Submarine". It was pretty much a mash-up of the style of "YS" and the characters of Arrested Development...

You mean that one song that goes "We're floating along in a yellow boat, a yellow boat, we're making a stand in a yellow boat, a yellow boat~" ? :D It might have sounded good to yellow submarine, but who could afford that? XD
