Ruutha Nightbloom - commission by Nakate Ruutha Nightbloom - commission by Nakate
Yet another commission by Oiranaru of his character Ruutha. This is sort of the sister of a previous commission, Elle, however instead of a FFXIV character, this Ruutha is from Phantasy Star Online 2. Here she's a fighter-class Cast, a sort of machine-like humanoid. She is still wearing the Temple gear from FFXIV (dyed red), however, as well as the Sphairai Zenith.

The pose here gave me a not-small amount of stress, but I ended with something I'm fairly happy with. An amount of fine detail was also removed from the equipment. It would have been my life's work getting all of that MMO-gear detail in.

Ah, I loved making tiny CAST characters in Phantasy Star Portable 2.  Just the idea of little robot girls pulling out massive cannons and guns was funny to me a long time ago.

Very cute character, and you did well on the pose.  The weapons look great too.

How can I go about commissioning you?  Is it stream-related?  Because my net runs too slow to watch streams.  ;___;

Commissions used to go to the top donator during the stream, but sadly I've had to close commissions. I recently got promoted at work, and the new position is taking up far too much time for me to be able to also do commissions. Sorry!

Ah, I understand.  Congratulations on your promotion!  :D  Definitely don't push yourself too hard.

Thanks for this once again :3  I can see how this pose would give you some consternation - it can be tricky to portray someone leaning into a fighting move of any kind as you need to know HOW the body reacts to such a stimulus.

For people wondering, Elle's actual twin sister Ruutha DOES exist in FFXIV.  Elle herself was created ages ago in D&D 1st Edition - Ruutha was created in FFXIV due to not being able to create two characters with the same name on the same server, so I tweaked Elle around slightly and voila!  Ruutha came into being.

This Ruutha, as Naka described, is from PSO2.  I prefer playing up front and personal melee classes when the combat is action-oriented and Ruutha fits that bill.  She's a Monk first and foremost (she's also a chef and - yes - she's whacked a few people with her frying pans when the Kaiser Knuckles weren't to hand) whereas Elle takes more of a backline in support.  Elle is also frail due to her growth deficiency which doesn't lend itself to strenuous fighting exercises.  There's also the small matter of Elle, Ruutha and E'tykalu being reflections of different facets of my personality but...that's a story for another time ^.^;

I've yet to fully pin down PSO2's Ruutha place in all of this as of now.  FFXIV Ruutha has her lore fully fleshed out but PSO2 Ruutha is very much in the planning stages - only that her personality is a slightly more muted than FFXIV's bouncy, hyperactive nature.  She does act like a human would 99% of the time, but there are a few times when she could almost come across as a cold, methodical and ruthlessly efficient machine.  As I said, I'm still working on it.  These are just a few ideas I'm knocking around right now for her :3
