I don't know what's wrong with me, why I continue to not update my DA.  I still visit the site every day to check for messages and look at the pictures all the people I'm following post.  I never seem to upload my own stuff though.  Going to remedy that soon!  Sorry in advance if I just dump everything all at once up on here. I've been saying for years that I'd like to learn 3D animation... well I finally took the plunge and enrolled in an online class through the Academy of Arts University.  The course is ANM 202 OL1: 3D Modeling and Animation 1 (Maya).  I was sort of nervous just jumping into a class that uses a program I've never touched before, but luckily for me the online instructor describes things pretty well.  And there are videos to watch which really helps a visual learner like me! Its my first time taking an online only class.  Pretty exciting and I'm learning a lot already.  Hopefully I'll have something worth sharing by the summer!

The whole reason I got a premium membership here... new name! Nine years is long enough to hold onto my first dorky online alias.  Lots of good memories, but it has been feeling stale for the past couple years.  So out with the old, and in with the new. How do you guys like the new name and icon?  I made up the name Naerko a few years ago when I used it for my Selkie's name in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, and then for my Tideborn Assassin character in Perfect Wold. Hopefully the change isn't too confusing.  I think DA has a good system where my old username in any links should be directed to my new page.
