urgh, today was just...bad, I tried creating more form and there was a face and some other elements involved at some point before frustration took hold. now its just an abstract mess...again.

Because it's not the destination that should drive you, it's the journey. Enjoy the learning process and keep out of the comfort zone. Also, abstract mess or not, this one caught my eye. Would make a great wallpaper!
