A very magical collab with SpiritHoliday featuring our characters Lennart and Amalthea. I did the sketch and background, Spirit did the lines, colors, and shading. It felt so good getting to draw these two together at long last, let me tell you.

With everything that has been happening in and out of his pack, Lennart has never had the time to slow down and properly grieve for his adopted son Fitch. But now that he finally has a moment to spare, he goes to visit him. Standing over his son's grave, the pain of his loss is as sharp as ever- but he finds no release for the emotions building within his chest. 

Suddenly, there's a soft rustle, and Amalthea appears from the thicket carrying flowers.

She is startled and embarrassed to have interrupted Lennart in his grief. But he doesn't mind. So after placing the flowers she had brought on Fitch's grave, she tentatively joins him. It's awkward at first- after all, there's a lot she's been meaning to talk to him about. But the weight on his shoulders is obvious, and Amalthea can't help but empathize. Putting her own troubles aside, she offers a few, soothing words to him, a shoulder to lean on, and her compassion for him is what finally helps Lennart get the emotional release he needs. His grief and sadness just seem to melt away...

But as Lennart begins to feel better, Amalthea feels worse, and she doesn't know why.
