Oh my, no update in over a year.. oops! Let's see.. highlights..
Work is going well. I started a study next to work, all payed for by my employer It's a deeltijd HBO study in Deventer for the dutchies here. I go to school one evening a week and have that day off from work, so that's good. Besides that it's a lot of selfstudying at home and making assignments. It's a lot of work, but worth it. I can be finished in 3,5 years and have a much better education than I have now. The study is called 'Business, IT & Management' and focusses on the business, IT and people. I find the business part to be a bit boring so far, but ah well. There's always boring courses in an education.
I had my first two tests last night. Marketing can go both ways, but I heard we can have quite a lot wrong and still get enough points.. so I'm optimistic about that. ER modeling went well, though I'm quite disapointed in myself. I made such a stupid mistake, but I only realised it 30 minutes after I handed in the test I should still have enough points to get a good enough grade though.
So I see I was very excited about my rental place last year. A few months after that.. not so much anymore sadly. My downstairs neighbour likes to have people over in the middle of the night. Even during the week! And in this building, you can basically hear everything. So I had a lot of trouble sleeping and even had to start using earplugs.. which hurt. So I decided that after a mandatory year, I'd get the hell out of here asap. Seeing as renting a place isn't so easy (you need to wait for years before finally getting a house appointed to you), I decided I had little other choice than to buy a house. After searching for a few months, a new house came on the market: A small corner house with a nice bit of garden around it. I went to see it right away and... bought it! I'm getting the keys in about 2 hours from now
So as you can imagine, I'm very excited about this! There's a few things that need to be done about the house right away, but not too much. The garden needs a good bit of work, but that's not untill next spring.
And oh yeah, I also play Guild Wars 2, which is quite a lot of fun though I do still miss World of Warcraft from time to time though.. Been over a year since I played I think!
So to sum it up: Lots of good, exciting things are happening which make me a very busy girl!
