TMNT: Leonardo Valentine

DOWNLOAD FOR HUGE SIZE THAT YOU'LL PROBABLY NEVER NEED BUT LOOKS PRETTY ANYWAYS!  They are all same size, save two are sideways and other two stand up.

Done a day late, but I tried my best to be on time.  Oh well, at least the event's not over yet!

Submitted for the DA Valentine's Day thingie going on!  Never participated in one of these, so I thought I'd make some Valentines in "Old School" style.  It was always fun in elementary school to see who got what kind of Valentines for everyone.  I always got ones that had characters of my favorite cartoons on them to give to the rest of the class, and agonized over who would get which character and/or what saying.

So I decided to incorporate the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, from their new show!  I've done all four, and all in a sort of semi-chibi style!  Well, it was supposed to be FULL chibi, but apparently I have a hard time with that.  Oh well, they still look cute.  And I gave them all those cheesy, fun sayings you get in kids' Valentines cards.  Because they're adorkable that way.

Line art was traced in Illustrator using the Live Trace feature.  Haven't done that in ages.  But because I was working with MONSTEROUSLY HUGE image sizes, the trace worked better that usual, and now they have this sort of fun style on the lines.  Yay for happy accidents.

This one's Leo.  As leading action man, he gets the action background!  His was the easiest to do, and I think has my favorite border.  I put "Valentine" in a sort of sci-fi font, as homage to his favorite show from the first season.  He and Raph get the action poses too, being men of action that they are.  His might also be my favorite pose, making him my second favorite of the bunch.
