Chants filled the spacious dark cavern as two opponents circled each other, occasionally testing the others' response with feints. Crystal growing at random placements and naturally bioluminescent plants were the only light source and showed a ring of Haedians surrounding the two combatants, the acrid tang of oxidized iron filled the air, coming from quite a few of the Haedians in the audience. This was no mean random bout but had a feeling of ritual to it as a majority of the tired and scraggly Haedians chanted one name over and over with a fervent reverence, spittle flying from their weathered lips, Shira, Shira, Shira….  Midori sat at the edge of the ring, watching the combatants with his companion Cu.
