while watching a beautiful sunset in Italy, (on my holidays) with a piece of italian bread with olives and a glass of 'vino', i thought about another self-portrait of
my runescape character "Marikdebie" to introduce my rs looks (again) to the people
NORMALLY u could enjoy the drawing on this thursday...but since a rendering mistake i noticed in the internet place (the only place for me to be able to upload stuff) that my video file was 728MB big o.O instead of the usual 20-40MB im used to...so it would take around 320minutes to finish the upload, and since 15minutes is already 1 euro....no thanks! so you have to wait till sunday to see the work on Youtube!!
also, since I started to paint irl, i thought about bringing the style into my computerwork.
normally I always start with making the complete drawing in black and white, to see if everything correct.
But (most of you people don't know this), i have a lot problems with colours (yes i'm colourblind)
and i really wanted to train this fact so i can use colours in a better way.
So i decided to work like i do in IRL painting....starting with the colours and not using the black-white version
to check if my values are correct...(i also did this with my chaos elemental drawing)
i also made the sketch on paper first, and took a photo of it so i could trace it in photoshop...
no worries, the work is 100% mine ^^
So this is my runescape character, ready to go on another adventure with the wind in his back!
he's standing on a boat (or docks) or whatever, ready to leave on sunset.
if you were wondering what outfit my character has...well here it is!
-Agility cape (t)
-Spectral Spirit shield (on his back)
p.s.(normally also whip, but it doesn't feature on the drawing)
furthermore, he has:
-dark brown hair
i used a lot of painting techniques into this drawing, and i tried to make the face look a bit realistic too
(i knew the last time i did a selfportrait, the face wasn't that splendid, but since I practiced on faces a lot this year,
i thought of another try)
i also got better and better in backgrounds since i started to paint landscapes and stuff
hopefully it only becomes better and better with each drawing that i make.
so tell what you think of it ^^ and enjoy it!
