You people can't just leave it alone can you? Okay, here we go again.

I've been notified a few times of certain theft of some of my art on redbubble by this this thief:
www.redbubble.com/people/dupas…
selling questionable quality products with my art at the following pages:
www.redbubble.com/people/dupas…
www.redbubble.com/people/dupas…
www.redbubble.com/people/dupas…

I did not give him permission to use my art on his products. In fact, I don't allow anyone to sell my art on their products. If you hear anything different from this person, he is lying. By browsing several of the products he is selling under his account, it is clear that at least half of the art do not belong to him and are probably stolen. I've been given advice regardless of my clear statement of not being bothered with theft notifications. Dealing with redbubble should not be the clear course of action. It is getting the word out that this guy is a thief is the answer. What happens when you do a takedown of the art? It gets taken down, any evidence of stolen art disappears and if redbubble doesn't suspend his account, he can just go and steal more to replace it. I implore anyone, especially the people who took the time and bothered to notify me of this theft to go out there and make it known that this guy is a thief. If you wanna tell it straight to his face,

Here's his facebook: www.facebook.com/kyle.r.d.14?_…
Here's his twitter: twitter.com/KyleReneD
Here's his email: linuxminttech@gmail.com
Here's his skype: rene.leudo

Retweet this twitter.com/mysticalpha/status…

If you are reading this Kyle Rene D and I know you are because I just tweeted and emailed this link to you, I have over 14,000 followers on here and 3,500 followers on tumblr reading this. The other artists you've stolen from probably have way more followers who will most likely do the same thing I'm doing so I leave it up to you to do the right thing. In the end, all you had to do was ask.

Followers, if you spread the word, I will draw babs as a CMC ;)

UPDATE: Looks like Kyle deleted his tweets, took down his info and deleted at least my art from his redbubble. Thanks everyone for the support! This doesn't mean it's over. It still looks like there are still art up on his redbubble page. If you recognize the artists who did those, they should know about it and call him out on it.

UPDATE 2: His twitter is gone. Don't think he's turned over a new leaf. He may be making new accounts and trying again.

UPDATE 3: His redbubble account has been suspended. Good job guys. We've won the battle but the war on theft is always ongoing. Keep your helmets on.

Why do you not offer such products yourself on RedBubble and other sites? Or work together with a seller if you don't want to do it yourself?
There is obviously a huge demand for products with your art on it, with how often this happens.

I didn't. I saw you having such a thing happening quite a few times already. You even wrote something about it on your page, so it has to be fairly common for you.
And the ones who are doing this wouldn't do so if there wouldn't be a demand and lots of people who are willing to buy it because they like your art.
If you would do it by yourself, you could stop those attempts to sell your art by others. People are more likely to buy from you, than from other sellers who just do it without permission and if you undermine their business that way, then you soon won't have things like that happen anymore.
And don't worry about the legality of it. By now, selling fanarts is, at least for MLP: FiM fanarts, so common that you might as well call it "legal".
There's just no one caring about it anymore, especially not Hasbro. A law is only a problem if authorities/rights owners bother to use it and no one does.

Really, it's not common at all. It use to be back then but I have seen less theft in terms of products. Either way, I stopped caring about theft. I only wrote about this because people ignored my wishes of not alerting me to art theft and I believed it was relatively easy to resolve itself once I said something. I wasn't going to do anything anyway because I believe the thief will either be called out or stopped eventually. The thieves who are slapping art on products isn't only doing it to me. They have other artists' art on their products as well. I don't think they're doing it just to fill a void but rather to make a quick buck at the expense of others. There are already numerous products with MLP out there long before this guy decided to do it too. I'm not going to be fulfilling a demand for my art on products because I believe there isn't any. I believe people who buy these products are not looking for a specific artist in mind. I imagine parents buying them for their daughters rather than a fan of mine. Regardless of who buys them, they would just pick something that looks good. If selling products for the sole purpose of luring people away from dodgy stores, I will have to compete with my art plus the numerous of artists whose had their art slapped on products on those stores. I can't even get fans to pledge to my patreon let alone utilizing basic (legal) business practices. In order to compete, I will have to have a variety of art styles in my store and if not that, then I will have to upload a lot more of my art on products which I'm not going to devote my limited time to. Of course, I could work with a seller like welovefine and mix my art in with other artists but another stopping point for me is taxes and privacy. I'm not going to risk screwing up my financial situation with another potential line of income and in the world of crappy cybersecurity, I'm not going to wave my personal info in front of several product platforms or companies for the sole purpose of stopping theft. I'd rather have my art stolen than my personal info. Finally, I'm not too worried about the products I have seen my art on because I've drawn those a long time ago. I'm perfectly happy with the thought of a parent of their sobbing child posting a negative review on a thief's store saying the art does not match the show.

>>>I don't think they're doing it just to fill a void but rather to make a quick buck at the expense of others.<<<

Don't take this the wrong way, you know I love your pony art (otherwise I wouldn't have more than 100 fanarts of yours collected), but how exactly is it at your expense if someone takes art pieces of yours, puts them on pillows, smartphone cases, ect. and sells them, as long as you don't do it yourself?
I know how the consensus in the artist community is regarding this kind of activities, don't get me wrong. But since you're not selling your art in that way yourself and there's no income you could lose from such sales because of that, how do you think it does hurt you that stuff like this happens?
In my opinion, the only hurtful thing that could come from something like this is a bad feeling when thinking about that those people can make money without doing any work themselves, but that is, again in my opinion, really only their problem if they are so lazy that they rob themselves off of the satisfying feeling to create something on their own and then make money with their own creations.
I just fail to see what kind of expense that does bring for you.

Perhaps I used the wrong words and I apologize for that. When I mean expense, I mean my time and effort. My time is valuable and I spend a lot of it working on my art. Obviously, I don't lose anything financially. What bothers me is that they didn't put in the time and effort to create the art for their products and potentially profiting off of it. However, seeing how they're selling crappy products for next to no profit and may or may not be caught doing it, I learn to let it go so I don't let it bother or hurt me. What you're saying about being hurtful is right. You also said I should sell my own products to combat theft because you think I'm hurt by it. As I explained, I'm really not and shouldn't be. I rather spend my time working on more art. I respect other people's opinion and we may or may not agree on certain things so let's just let it go before misunderstanding of words lead to aggravation.

I just assumed it was you, but I have my own account on there and I don't think the money goes tothe person who has the design so he isn't probably making money.

Faith in Humanity: -1.

Sad to hear such things. Since thief is and official delict, maybe someone will go to court against him. But then again: he might not even have money:D
If you have his address, you can send him a cease and desist, and If he steals art from you again, he will be doomed...

Lol, he deleted all his twitter post sometime since last night when I went and posed about him being an art thief on them due to other artist work I saw.

Really sucks assholes do this shit. At least its an American and Australian company, and he is in Canada. So... maybe someone will make him wish he hadn't done it.

Forty-two artists have had their art stolen by this user at last count. That's completely reprehensible. Though that means 42 people and all their users will hear about this. The word will get out about his theft.

Yeah, we've identified close to sixty artists that this guy has ripped off now. He's a real piece of work. I'm glad your art has been removed from his profile, but something tells me he's just going to keep doing this.

I actually spotted one from an artist who also has a large amount of followers (over 19,000 on DA alone) AND makes shirts officially licensed by Hasbro. I will give him a shout out so he can take action as well.
