my question is this: How do you make it so the rays on one side are larger than the other, like in the bottom picture you posted?

My answer is this: They are the same size. It's jus that the picture is longer on one side, making the sunrays look larger on the longer side. ;)

for mac, you want to use "option" in place of "alt" :)

Honestly... I have no idea what to press instead. I've never owned a mac. But if you fool around with your keyboard a bit, you'll probably figure it out. ;)

I enter the details for the first transform, then do the ctrl+alt+shift+t a few times and it either makes a polygon with like 14 or so sides or it spaces the rays out far too much :(
