This turned out far better than I expected
Tools used:
Apophysis 2.08 3D hack + apophymator script. [link]
FL Studio 8 (soundtrack composition)
Native Instruments DJ Traktor Studio (to get the 'stopping record' effect)
Soundforge6 (more processing of the soundtrack - reversing, etc)
VirtualDub (assembling the clips and creating the final movie file)
1 rusty, greasy, grimy, dusty, pre-historic 2.8GHz Celeron D cpu
Beer + smokes
Some stats:
~60hrs to render
15 keyframes w/ 300 frame interval
4120 frames rendered in apo (originally meant to be 4200 but got cut prematurely somehow)
quality @300
Thanks for looking. Enjoy the show
EDIT
------
h.264 re-encode now available here: [link] (~108MB)
(I highly recommend watching this with VLC Media Player with motion blur turned on

@05:46There are different version, and as far as I know, you have to pay for it.
XviD is free, but good quality.
Doesn't dA support XviD?
FAQ #832: What file formats are accepted for film?
The FAQ said it supports h264

Holy Cow, i just installed DivX so that i could watch it in full screen Hi-Quality and i must say it was well worth it... Amazing work
Thanks. Unfortunately even DivX HiQ is nowhere near what I see on my PC. I am thinking of recompressing this to MP4 (apple ipod thingy) to get better quality but will have to host off of dA. hrrrmmmmm :/
Yes i can believe that, even some of my normal uploads look so different here after the upload, so dull and not as vibrant as they are on my PC.

Great job!
Magically Delicious -- even with everything going backward
