Me: Hey, guys, how's it goin'? It's your man, Mylester and I welcome you to another installment of "Mylester's reviews" as I continue my lookback into 2008. Well, as you know, I'm 3 reviews away from my big 150 and I'm so excited to share this review soon, but I still want to keep this a surprise. Enough about the preview for the 150th review, it's time to check out another movie I'm reviewing on. This one I'm reviewing is called "Horton Hears a Who!", a movie based on Dr. Seuss' classic children's book. There was a lot of funny stuff and great characters and I was a fun of Dr. Seuss books, but nothing like this. I hope you all have your ears ready, 'cause I'm about to review this movie. Here we go.

Mylester's Reviews - Looking Back into 2008: Horton Hears a Who

Mylester's reviews is proud to
bring you a special month-long review special:

LOOKING BACK INTO 2008
When Myles had his 1st year at DA

Here we go.

( shows clips of the movie )

This movie begins with the narrator telling the story about an elephant named Horton and how he heard a Who. Horton is in the jungle was minding his business when suddenly he sees a dust speck floating and he starts chasing it. Then, it landed on him and he believes he is hearing tiny voices in there. So, he puts the speck on a clover and tries to find out what he's hearing. Interesting.

He also discovers that this speck is a town called "Whoville" which is harbored on it and is led by Mayor Ned McDodd. He has a wife named Sally and a really, REALLY big family which has a lot of children. They have 96 daughters a son whose named JoJo, though he doesn't speak much. Ned informs Horton that this town would be in so much trouble if he can't find a place where it's safe, so Horton makes a promise to find a safe place for the town and says "A person is a person, no matter how small". Nice words.

And although Horton does what he can to protect the speck from any danger, the leader of the jungle, Jane Kangaroo and her son, Rudy along with the other animals notice Horton's silly ideas and she insists that Horton gives up that speck and do some important things. But Horton ignores her demands and reminds her the same thing he said to the Whos. Meanwhile, the Whos are experiencing some disasters from crazy weather to earthquakes and Ned hopes to help Horton get the animals to speak out.

Horton manages to escape the animals trying to steal the speck and does everything he can to keep the speck safe, but when he notices a crazy vulture named Vlad who was sent to take it, Horton escapes as fast as he could, but Vlad does grab it and then drops it into a totally huge field of pink clovers which were totally identical. Oh, boy. So, it took a very long time for Horton to find that clover with the speck on it and after 3 million clovers he searched, he finally found it and was happy that the Whos were safe. Thank goodness. So, Horton tries to get the Whos to speak louder while dealing with the animals who confronted him and caged him and tries to burn that clover away with a pot of hot oil. Are you freakin' kidding me?!

But just when it seemed all hope was lost for Horton, JoJo finally steps up as the Whos call out with the instruments and he gives a big loud... (JoJo: YOOOOOOP!) Nice one, Jo. Then, when Rudy hears it, he grabs it in the last second and then jumps off the kangaroo and gives it to Horton despite his mom giving orders. Hey, I've also learned that JoJo has a thing for music. Nice. As Horton has been praised for the integrity, he reconciles with Jane who felt bad for what she has put Horton through and he makes a makeshift umbrella for Whoville and the two are good friends. The movie ends with the cast singing the song "Can't Fight This Feeling". Aww.

There you have it. "Horton Hears a Who!". That was absolutely an amazing movie with good laughs and such.

Good things:
- Horton hearing Whos in Whoville
- The whos bringing a loud message
- Horton convincing there's someone in the speck
- Classic song in the end by the cast

Bad things:
- Other animals trying to steal Horton's clover
- Vlad stealing it and throwing it on the field

My favorite characters:
- Horton
- Ned McDodd
- Sally
- JoJo
- Morton
- Tommy
- Jane Kangaroo (even though she was sour)
- Rudy

My least favorite characters:
- The monkeys
- Vlad (what a stupid-ass bird)

Overall, I give this movie a fine 9. That's all I have for this review on "Mylester's Reviews". Come back again next week as I wrap up the 2008 lookback special with a couple more reviews and I countdown to my 150th review. I hope you will love it. It's gonna be so much fun. Till next time, Myles a.k.a. mylesterlucky7 reminding you to share your love with one another, stay blessed and awesome and always believe in God, cause he cares for you and loves you. Even I do love you, very much. Thank you all for reading. See you again soon. Peace. *turns up "Can't Fight This Feeling*

(singing) I can't fight this feeling anymore, I forgot who I started fighting for.

Teen Titans' 15th Anniversary
www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJ_SY-…

15 years ago, on this day, Cartoon Network brought fans a new superhero cartoon. 5 heroes who stood for truth, justice and of course -- pizza. You know the team when trouble came -- Teen Titans! Robin, Raven, Cyborg, Beast Boy and Starfire. It was one of the most popular cartoons I've enjoyed back when I was a teen and now, this year, they are celebrating their 15th anniversary with a cake to celebrate. The Teen Titans would like to thank the fans for still being loyal of this toon when it came on and we will not forget this. Happy 15th, Teen Titans!

Mylester's Reviews - Looking Back into 2008: WALL-E

LOOKING BACK INTO 2008
When Myles had his 1st year at DA

Me: How's it goin', dudes and dudettes? It's your man, Myles a.k.a. mylesterlucky7 and thank you for joining us for another installment of a lookback special of 2008 on "mylester's reviews". Last week, I reviewed a couple of action-adventure movies like "Iron Man", but today, I'm reviewing an animated movie on this installment. This one is called "WALL-E". It's an animated movie from Disney and Pixar and I really enjoyed it. This movie features a robot from the 29th century who discovers something big. I hope this one is gonna be good as I review this movie.

( shows clips of the movie )

This movie starts with a robot named WALL-E (Waste Allocation Load Lifter: Earth Class) which took place in the 29th century where Earth was abandoned and it was covered in rotten garbage. Eeesh. Earlier, humans were on some unknown spaceships for travel while the robots tried to clean up the mess, but after a long while, the robots stopped working and WALL-E was the only one that was still on this garbage-ridden filled Earth to see what the mess was. Oh, brother.

One day, WALL-E was roaming around minding his business when all of a sudden, he sees a plant that must have been recovered from some garbage mess. So, he takes it home and then suddenly, he soon discovers another robot from an unknown spaceship called EVE (Extra-terrestrial Vegetation Evalulator) that was sent to see what this plant is. Wow. When WALL-E sees EVE, he thought that EVE was initially hostile, but then she sees something good in him and she befriends him. So, I see. The robots came to WALL-E's home and then he shows her the plant. That when EVE went into standby mode when she discovered it. Oh my. Soon, the starship called Axiom was taking EVE to the  ship and WALL-E clings on to her and hope to find out what EVE is on to.

So, WALL-E is now on the Axiom where he discovers that the people who used to live on Earth are obese and feeble due to microgravity reliance and where they had some products from the "Buy N Large" company owned by Shelby Forthright. That is just too freaky. Shouldn't they try to be getting in healthy lifestyle soon? Just sayin'. Anywho, WALL-E discovers that using the plant that WALL-E gave to EVE would be used for the hyperspace to head back to earth and WALL-E couldn't let it happen, so he takes the plant off EVE and makes a run for it and EVE was a bit mad at WALL-E for its disappearance. Wow. Who could blame a robot for something like that.

While EVE was on a diagnostic mode, WALL-E misinterprets the procedure as torture and freed the robots which were malfunctioning and causes quite a stir and also made WALL-E and EVE rouge robots. Because of that, EVE sends WALL-E back home by trying to send him on an escape pod, but when the GO-4 robots try to get the plant and uses it with the escape pod and blows it, WALL-E manages to get that plant back and he reconciles with EVE and they dance aboard the Axiom in celebration.

Soon, the robots show the plants to Captain McCrea who sees the plant and he attempts to have the robots return to Earth, but AUTO doesn't allow them to escape so it had WALL-E and EVE deactivated and thrown away. Really, dude?! That's cold! But luckily, EVE re-activates and helps WALL-E with one battery to go and helps WALL-E gets the plant to the chamber. As AUTO tries to crush WALL-E in order to stop him from doing that, McCrea who sees WALL-E risking the power to save it, deactivates AUTO and EVE gets the plant to the chamber and activates the hyperjump! Whoo-hoo!

When they arrived, EVE repaired and almost fixes WALL-E, but his memory wasn't there, so she gives him one last kiss before she leaves and with that, WALL-E was back and his memory has been restored and that makes her happy! Aww. In the end, they reunite and the humans and robots now work together to restore Earth and its environment back to where it used to be.

There you have it, guys. "WALL-E". That was a super impressive movie -- with robots, too.

Good things:
- WALL-E discover something new
- Some nice moments of WALL-E and EVE, including the dance scene
- McCrea helping the robots

Bad thing:
- AUTO stops the robots from hyperjumping with the plant

My favorite characters:
- WALL-E
- EVE
- McCrea
- GO-4

My least favorite character:
- AUTO

Overall, I give "WALL-E" 9 out of 10. That's all I have for "Mylester's reviews" as I continue my look back of 2008. Join me again next time for another review from the year I had my first year at DA. Till next time, remember to share your love with one another, stay awesome and stay blessed and always believe in God, 'cause he cares for you and loves you, as do I. So very much. Thank you for reading, guys. See you later.
