He has that name for a reason.

Just a refresher between commissions. ;)

If he was any more metal, he'd be a lightning rod!

Yeah, I went overboard on that stuff. I think I took inspiration from the storm scene in "Legend of the Guardians". ;)

Just like you!

I'm surprised, Mike. Lately there have been a lot of ponies drawn by you, even if you said you'd slow down on that.

I'm not complaining, though!

I'm in the middle of a commission run, and that still seems what people are most willing to commission me to draw, so that is a big part of it. I guess I need to step up my game if I want to be in demand in the general furry fandom arena. :P

Well, it is what you started your path to fame with, right? I dont see anything wrong with doing some ponies as commissions. High quality ponies might also attract attention in the furry community.

And as I said in the past already, don't be afraid to participate in events if you look for some attention. Your work is amazing, but it takes time to get widely known. Still, I am curious where your journey will take you. And as long as there are sometimes ponies involved, Ill stay on board.

What kind of events are you referring to?
Alpha268's avatar
Well... First of all, I know ProjectComment where you can upload art and receive constructive comments in return. They also have a WHOLE lot of events going, where you can participate and get feedback and exposure in return. That one isn't exclusively furry related, but still a very famous and widely known group.

Then there are surely other groups on DA with a furry focus that host events from time to time. I however do not know them, so you'd probably have to do some digging there.

Then I could imagine pages like FA or Inkbunny to have specific events as well.

Usually those event involve a given setting and ask for your artistic interpretation. Think of that pear thing on April, 1st. You draw a pear, they put it on the front page. For a furry version of it, you probably have to look around furry groups and websites. But they are a benefit for you and the page: You get to practice drawing on something that might be outside your comfort zone, and get more widely known in return.

Well, I dedicated this drawing to my friend MelodicStream, whose favorite pony is exactly Thunderlane. I couldn't afford to do any less, now could I? ;)

Thank you for enjoying this!
