Rainbow Ash (II)

A commissioned work for my GAF friend JudHudson, who is a huge fan of Sam Raimi's Evil Dead series, and so asked to create a picture of Rainbow Dash as Ash from those movies.

I had already shown the sketch for the previous illustration in this series when I came up with the concept for this one. I thought it was so cool that it would be a pity to execute only one of them, so I decided to do them both for the price of one. Besides, JudHudson is an awesome guy and deserves it.

I must say that it is HARD to make such adorable creatures as G4 ponies look yucky and revolting on purpose. One thing is to make mistakes and have them look off, but trying to make them as unsettling and ugly as possible, is an entirely different matter.
