Pony pose challenge #6: Rarity

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is where you see that the illustrator really has no idea of what he's doing or how he's supposed to do it. My style and formula really fluctuate wildly between pieces. Compare this to my previous pieces, particularly Cheerilee and Lyra. You'll see that this is much closer to Lyra than Cheerilee. One could argue for an evolution in style, but truth is, I'm not posting these pieces in execution order. This Rarity was actually the first I did in the series, and Lyra was one of my latest (thus far). Yep, consistency needs work. At least Rarity gave me a chance to play with negative shading (see the white streaks in the shaded areas of the mane and tail).

Rarity is just lying around being fabulous.
