The main idea I had when I made this is... Think of it this way; the walnut represents hearts (which obviously means love), the flower represents growing up and learning from experience, and the square represents obstances of life you face everyday. The basic story is you try to grow up and learn from experiences from facing obstances of life you face everyday and yet you gotta learn how to love yourself as well as others, too. That's what I had in mind while making the piece, at least. Let me know what you think, guys. Oh, the rainbow colors represents diversity, obviously.
As for the making process, I painted the blank canvas first with various colors. Then I made a hole through the center of the canvas for the flower to be easily placed into it and glued it on before painting on the rainbow colors and some whites. And then, finally, I added a halved black walnut (after layer-painting the rainbow colors on and inside it, of course) and glued it to the center.
