STOCK USAGE RULES

RULES OF USAGE

The most important rule for usage is:  LET ME KNOW YOU USED MY STOCK!!! Why?  Cause I wanna see how you used it.   Send me a note or post a comment on image or my main page.  I love to fave stuff!  

CREDIT WOULD BE NICE: Just link your deviation back to the stock image or main page.

RESTRICTED OR NOT?: Everything you will find in this gallery is UNRESTRICTED unless otherwise categorized.  Use it on DA, use it for prints, use it commercially, use it to depict whatever twisted fantasy you have, use it to accentuate the perfect meal.  I don't mind. While I'd still like the link and the chance to view your creation - you don't need any permission to use it.

HOWEVER: I will on occasion post stock in folders marked MODEL, RESTRICTED, EXCLUSIVE or CONTEST. For use of these images, please read the appropriate section for their usage terms.  

DO NOT REPRODUCE AS STOCK OR TAKE CREDIT FOR MY STOCK AS YOUR STOCK OR ART:  You can't just change the colors or curves of my stock and then claim it as your own stock or art.  My stock is to be used to help make your art, not be your art.  I have no issue with you using my stock to create new stock, but at least two-thirds of your end product stock must be of your design and not mine.  And I do ask for some credit if my stock is featured predominantly in your piece.  If my stock is used as an incidental, small piece in your stock, no credit is required.  MODEL STOCK CANNOT BE USED TO CREATE NEW STOCK.


CONTEST STOCK:
- This stock will ONLY be available as a contest prize, and I alone reserve the right to donate them as such.  If you win my contest stock as a prize - note me, and I will make arrangements to get it to you as quickly as possible.

EXCLUSIVE STOCK:
-This stock will only be available as a sale or gift item.  Terms and pricing of that stock will be available in the description box of that item.


RESTRICTED STOCK:
- Same rules as above but… no prints or use outside of DEVIANTART without our permission. Simple eh?



MODELS STOCK:
These rules will apply to ALL images in the MODELS folder of the gallery page, and ONLY apply to those images.  

The models we use are people we know and care about. They are not professional models. They either have, or will have personal and professional aspirations.  We will not allow them or their reputation to be harmed by depictions of them in a compromising position in the public arena.  I'm aware that these rules seem lengthy, but please read and respect them. I think if you read through them, you will find them to be quite liberal overall.

Understand that we consider sketches, drawings and paintings (digital or otherwise) that depict our models FACIAL likeness to be the same as using the image itself, and so the same rules apply.  SEE SPECIAL ADDENDUM FOR POSE REFERENCE.

- All MODEL stock is RESTRICTED stock.   No prints or use outside of DEVIANTART without our permission.
-       MODEL stock CANNOT, under any circumstances, be used to create new stock.  
- While we respect your right to depict your beliefs any way you wish.  We ask that you respect our right not to be depicted in a way contrary to our beliefs.  To that end:
             
             -No depictions of pornography or sexual acts. Implied or otherwise.
             -No depictions of hate or intolerance of any kind toward any group or individual.
             -No images promoting, defaming or endorsing political figures, affiliations, or agendas.
             -No images promoting, defaming or endorsing commercial products, established organizations or religious institutions.  
             -Dark is fine. Satanism is not.
             -We don't consider witchcraft, mysticism or magic as evil.  We are okay with it, so long as it it doesn't conflict with any of the other rules.
             -We love all types of parody, action, horror, fantasy and sci-fi, and understand that in many cases a certain element of violence or implied violence goes with the territory, and we are totally cool with that.  However, we won’t tolerate excessive gore, depictions of senseless harm, murder or hateful acts against humanity, or cruelty to animals.  If you want to use one of my model images to depict little girl as a fairy with a sword – that’s fine.  If you want to use that image to depict a little girl pointing a gun at someone, or using a sword to decapitate a dog – That is Not Fine!!!

- Finally, be a decent person.  If you don't have something nice to say about the models, then STFU.  We won't tolerate insulting or defamatory remarks against the models. Nor will we tolerate sexual advances or overtones.  You are more than welcome to let the models know if you think they are pretty, cute, handsome or sexy.  But we don't want to hear your fantasies about them. Those engaging in these types of behavior will be blocked and reported.  

USING OUR MODEL STOCK FOR POSE REFERENCE: This is fine.  Provided you refrain from using the FACIAL likeness of our models - your art generated from a pose reference is your intellectual property, and you may use it as you please, without need of our permission.  Credit and/or link backs on pose reference are greatly appreciated but not mandatory.

Failure to follow the RESTRICTED STOCK or MODEL rules will result in us asking you (very kindly) to remove the image from DEVIANTART or wherever else we find them. If you are non-compliant with that request, and we believe we have a need to protect our model - we will take formal, appropriate action with the administrators of DEVIANTART or... further if absolutely necessary.


If you are not sure if your image is okay with us… ASK!  I live on DA and will get back to you quickly.  You will find us to be fairly liberal, and willing to accommodate your use of our stock.  You can always send me an e-mail with the image attached for approval as well – My e-mail address is at the bottom of this journal entry.
