Literature Text
The human spirit is unique in its own right. Many sci-fi stories explain it as a force of nature that can't be stopped once it adapts and focuses on one objective.
To win, to protect, to achieve, and to be remembered.
It may be an unknown fact that we humans have the fear of being forgotten. At some point, a thought comes into mind and nags us like a fly that'll avoid every swipe of your hand.
Do we want our name to be described in stone, in history, or even in the very future of humanity? But these things may not happen in our lifetime, as it was the case for so many.
Vincent van Gogh's artworks weren't famous in his lifetime, but in the future, it shaped our modern art. He never knew that his work would get famous, but we know because we exist in that future.
The point is that the human spirit is like a flame, everyone who passes away can be water to our ember, but it can also fuel our determination, our grit, and our way of life.

Shards of Aether Book 2: Vision Ember - Chapter 2
With the rise of the human spirit (as well as my sudden addiction to the countless sci-fi stories on YouTube), I've decided to join in, but to mostly to explain how it works in a nutshell.
Of course, the psychological aspect of the human spirit is much more complex than this.
I'm not the best guy to ask about this, but there are others who have more experience with it and have the ability to put it into words.
Congratulations on your well-deserved DD.
