:new:CHECK THE NEWEST PHOTOSHOP ACTION - "HIPSTAMATIC EFFECT" - Hipstamatic Photoshop Action - Pack "JohnnyS":new:

This is an action for photo ageing. :!: Photo must be larger than 200 px :!: Should work well with Photoshop 6+. I wrote also tutorial, but it is in german. If you are interested, give me a note, and I will send it to you.

How to install the action:
1. Put the .ATN file from the zip in a directory of your choice. It does not need to be in the Photoshop directory.
2. Choose Load Actions from the Actions palette menu.
3. Select the action set file from die directory you saved it.
4. Click Load.
5. Play it.

Have fun!
J.

:!::!::!:TIP! If you want to see all the steps in the action and learn something (actions are great learning tools), check the "step by step" or "pause for XXX sec" on the playback options. Commands within an action can be also toggled on or off, giving you the option to play each command or bypass recorded commands within the action during playback.:!::!::!:

I used your action, in this image ----> [link]

Please let me know what you think. And I apologize for the image being so small . . . it just came out that way.

BTW, I'm in love with this action. . .

Haven't tried it yet. Please may I get a copy. my email is irjss@optushome.com.au Without seeing it I think some of the problems may be the starting point. ie. Is the image in background layer or layer 0. In another words is the background set to transparent or not. It does make a difference and I found if I get errors this is the first thing I check. It is good practice when writting actions to start by flattening the image then everyone is in the background layer to start.

Quick question I like the presentation in your sample above with the bend, dropshadow, and envolope ...and was kinda expecting it in the action. Firstly is the envolope stock? Secondly that's the chances of adding the other effects to the action?

the envelope is actually a collage of 5-6 different pictures. what I can and probably will add to this action ist the bent photo... the rest should be your creativity :)

I just tried this out and it works brilliantly! Thank you for thinking of us! :)
This really helps out and saved me time with trying to pull tons of resources together to produce the same effect.

I'm getting these same kind of errors, tons of them.
So, what's up with that?

well, I dont think that PS7 CE (I saw this only in czech sites) is a full version of PS... and it may not have all the filters, thats why the error message. sorry dude! try to run it manual (eg klick "toggle dialog on" on the action) than you can make every step manual and see how does it work and which command is missing.

well, nothing to do with missing filters, because errors like this -"warning - no pixels were selected" or "the command "delete/cut/transform is currently not available" I believe that the CE version is nothing more than a Central European version and that is has all the filters the normal version does.

I am sorry dude... I dont know what is CE (sonds to me "E" like Educational) that is why I was just guessing :) Its almost impossible to fix a problem, when you dont know where the problem comes from :D I suppose the problem was with the channel fill, plz read the new update note and download/try the updated version. I hope you want have problems, but if you do, plz do tell!
