It was definitely the time to finally draw them!

To be honest I didn't really care about them earlier, neither that particular theory about them. But lately, after all those hints in the latest season (and since rereading the books) I slowly started to love everything about them, and I can't wait to read those lines in the next or last book where the big secret will be finally revealed! Go Howland Reed!

For me the new information just made my opinion of these two even worse. As it makes them look like her family and duty meant nothing to her, and that there story should be a cautionary tale on how destructive love is in the greater scheme of things.

Rhaegar as iimagined it Orlando bloom like he looked in lord of the rings, and emmy Rossum as Lyanna alway being full Fiona gallagher who can ride horses liike she was a centaur and use a bow and arrow.   he genuinely charmed her as she didnt want to be with that brute of man in Robert Baratheon.

R+L=J has been confirmed.

Now we need to know what truly happened, if Lyanna did go with Rhaegar willingly, and why Rhaegar truly left Elia and Rhaenys and Aegon and if Lyanna's father knew of the love affair.

Just wondering but would Lyanna have forgiven Rhaegar for what his father did to her brother and father?
WhitePedal25's avatar
There's nothing to forgive because she knows it wasn't Rhaegar's fault and he wanted to get his father off the throne for a long time due to his insanity.

While I am willing to believe that, she would still feel grief and guilt
for the horrific deaths they suffered. The latter would be magnified
when she realizes,or someone points out, that this could have been
avoided if she informed her family through a letter or a handmaid.

Exactly.

Just wondering but how much do you know of  ASOIAF/ GOT?

Just bits and pieces.

Oh. Well I highly recommend the books over the show. As the latter's is more interested
in torture porn and villainous ass pulls than the nuanced books.

A minták java itt is copy-paste...

Nekem a láb (cipőben) rögtön kész.

Yes, Jon's mommy and daddy! And so beautifully drawn!

(I always wonder why people come on nicely done R+L fanarts and fics to complain about the pairing. Seems a little crass, if not downright rude. Take it up with GRRM and leave fans alone!)

Thank you very much!

(I wonder as well.  Maybe they all see only one version of the story and they insist on it, not even considering that the whole story could be much more complicated than any of us can imagine. If it would be simple, then the 3 strongest men of the kingsguard would't be there to protect Lyanna, but would be next to the king or his heir in the battle for example.)

Can't say I was ever a fan of that theory. Frankly, I hope if Lyanna had a child by Rhaegar it was stillborn.

Also, if GRRM actually reveals that she went willingly with him, welp... she's a stupid cunt. I'm sorry, but there's no other way going about this. She is. I mean, assuming she went willingly with Rhaegar, that makes her a huge hypocrite. She bemoans Robert fucking around before their marriage, but running away with a married man, who has children, is somehow alright?

I get that there's a shitload of people who gush at this particular pairing, but that doesn't make it any better really.

As far as I know Martin said that with one of the fan theories they actually find out the end of the story already, and that Howland Reed will show up in the end. So I don't think their child was stillborn.

I really hope that Howland will have much more to say about it than they are just Jon's parents. I believe he has a right, acceptable explanation about them, even if Lyanna went with him willingly. But if not, don't forget that Lyanna was only 16 when died, maybe 15 when everything started. This is the age when people are the most selfish, when they think the world is around them and they can do whatever they want. Robb was 15-16 too, when he decided to wed Jeyne Westerling, doesn't caring about the agreement with the Freys. Both he and Lyanna got their "gift" for it.

Anyway when it comes to pairings, people usually likes the contrary. They like Sansa and Sandor because they are the beauty and the beast. They like Jaime and Brienne, beauty and the beast again. They like Jon and Ygrette, who are a man of the watch and a wildling, even with a totally different personality. I think this is what makes that much people like this particular pairing as well. While one of them is the ice, the other one is the fire.
