Hey folks! It's October, which means the Distant Horizon Avatar Pumpkin Carving Contest is back on! A contest where you can see Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra themed pumpkins, vote for your favorites, and enter your own for glory and prizes!
How to Enter:
Carve something! Take a photo! Send it in! It's all very simple. The deadline to enter is Sunday November 4th. Carve alone or enter with your friends, but keep the carvings kid-viewable and ATLA or LOK related.
How to Vote:
Voting starts November 5th and stays open for two weeks! You can vote for five of your favorites (No, not for yourself five times), so if you enter be sure to tell your friends and family! At the end the votes will be tallied and the results will be announced.
Prizes:
The Top 4 winners + a Mod's Choice can get:
There may also be a Bolin or Naga amigurumi if I can finish it before Thanksgiving. If you would like to provide a quality prize (be it fanart, craft, etc) please contact me! It is always appreciated.
In addition, the top 15 carvings will be on display FOREVER, to live on as proof of your carving venture. Do you have what it takes? I hope you will enter, and please help spread the word!

Full-color Digital Illustrations/Portraits = $30

Up to two characters with a fully-colored background. An especially detailed background or additional characters would be price negotiated.
Custom Amigurumi dolls = $25+
[ example 1 ] [ example 2 ] [example 3 ]
A character or object of your choosing, generally within 3 to 7 inches tall. Price will be determined depending on character design details, yarn color palette, and time required to craft it.
Drawings = $7
Clean lineart with one character colored and no background [ example 1 ], or limited colors with a detailed line style. [ example 2 ]. Additional characters or a more detailed scene would be price negotiated. [ example 3 ]
Watercolor Pencils
On folded Glossy paper (for personalized greeting/birthday cards) = $5, plus postage.
On 8 x 5 watercolor paper = $8, plus shipping.
On 9 x 12 watercolor paper = $15, plus shipping.
Paper can also be cut into specific smaller sizes, just let me know.
More than three characters on any paper size would be price negotiated.
For very colorful pictures (i.e., more than 10 colors used significantly), or large bg-color washes (i.e., 70% of the page is blue), an addition $2 will be added for the larger paper sizes.

I use Digital Art (via GIMP/MyPaint and a Wacom tablet), and Watercolor Pencils, along with pencils and ballpoint pens. Amigurumi dolls are crocheted with worsted yarn and filled with polyester fiber. For digital art, the file would be emailed to you at printable-quality size, and for traditional art the original would be Priority Mailed to you. Shipping would be added to the final price for traditional art.

It's something I've been thinking about for a while, and with summer over I have time, so... maybe? Would anyone even be interested?

You can get a sense of my drawing/painting style in my gallery.
I use Digital Art (via GIMP/MyPaint and a Wacom tablet), and Watercolor Pencils on 140 LB Cold Press paper, along with pencils and ballpoint pens. For digital art the file would be emailed to you at printable-quality size, and for traditional art the original would be regular-mailed to you. Shipping would be added to the final price for traditional art, though.
Payment would be through PayPal only, and half up-front after the art concept is agreed upon.
I can draw:
People, animals, nature, and scenes/comics. I can also try my best with chibis, cars, mechas, and muscles.
I will not draw:
Porn, nudity, or fetish art, gruesome violence, or large crowds of people.
Anything else can be negotiated, but I reserve the right to decline.

As for me, I don't even know at the moment. Ask me again in three months... when it'll be 2011? Oh God, where did this year go.
