~ Distant Horizon's 6th annual Avatar Pumpkin Carving Competition ~

Ah, shameless promotion is shameless. And also prize-less, sadly. *coughs* Oh, yes, and it's Nickelodeon cartoon related, not blue Pandora people related. ._. The deadline to enter a carving is November 7th, and all Airbender/Korra designs are welcome. More info's at the main site. :nod:

As for me, I don't even know at the moment. Ask me again in three months... when it'll be 2011? Oh God, where did this year go.
Perhaps I should make this a yearly thing; logging in and posting stuff. Well, hopefully not, but at least I'm somewhat consistent with it. ^^;

So what has changed art-wise since I last posted? Well, I started watercoloring, so there's some of the nicer pieces posted. I also did another Avatar fanart prize, which I'm proud of even if it took way too long to finish. I also have a lot of ideas for future watercolor/GIMP art pieces (I hate saying "pieces" -- it sounds too professional and classy, but saying "project" instead makes it sound plural, which it definitely is not. I need to download a thesaurus into my brain.), though I don't have the will to start any of them yet. Maybe in a few weeks, though.

Other than that, real life is trying to step on me but I'll keep skittering out of the way, and the white-washing of the Gaang for the Avatar: The Last Airbender live-action movie is disgusting, disappointing, pathetic, and a multitude of other things that many other fans and non-fans have articulated far better than I ever could. In its current form and the rumours from those auditioning, this movie is NOT Avatar, and the problems need to be rectified.

So... apparently I haven't logged in for a year, and over two since my last submission? Huh. I guess the longer you're away from something, the harder it is to come back to it. Honestly, with my absence I would have been more comfortable staying in the dead zone, but I recently lost all of my bookmarks (among other things) which included my fav DA artists & art pieces, so fav'ing them here is my smart backup choice which I should have done in the first place. Y'know, along with actually backing up my files. --;

Plus, I've actually drawn something. Well, I never did stop drawing (not really anyway), but this one actually looks nice. Well, it looked nice on the computer I drew it on. On this one the colors look more dull, but I can't tell if it's this computer or the other one or what. Can't be helped though. Anyway, because this new drawing is so much nicer than my old art, I'm determined to prove it's not a fluke so I guess this won't be the last you see of me here. ^^;
