We, humans, belonging to different faiths, different nations, different races share one world. Our diversity is our strength.
"O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted." (Al-Quran 49:13)
Theme:
And so, the theme of the contest is “Unity in Diversity”. Participants’ works should include one or more of the following topics.
1. Muslims growing up in Muslim predominant country.
2. Muslims in non Muslim predominant country.
3. Life of a Muslims in Japan.
4. Racism among Muslim communities.
5. Racism targeted towards Muslims.
6. Life of a Muslim revert.
7. Life of a Muslim Refugee.
Task:
Create a manga consisting of at least 10 pages. All pages must have MuslimManga.org written on a corner. Your submission must not contain profanity, or content that might be disrespectful to people of other religions or races.
How to Join:
Entries must be completed by the participants after July 30th 2018 and submitted to contests@muslimmanga.org by
The contestants will receive a reply email within a week if their submission is accepted.
Genre:
Both traditional and digital art are welcomed, and the suggested resolution of participant’s submission is 300 DPI or more (prefer 2480 pixels x 3508 pixels). If you are doing traditional, scan to the highest quality you are able to.
Prizes:
All three of the winners will have their work displayed in “Muslim Manga” exhibition in Tokyo, Japan.
The Champion: A graphics tablet. (medium size)
The Runner-up: A graphics tablet. (small size)
The 3rd place: A graphics tablet. (small size)
After the submission time ended, all entries will be judged by Muslim Manga. Based on the final votes, we will select the Champion, the Runner-up, and the Third place.
