CONTEST: Muslim Manga Monthly (MMM)

-  New Rule - All people who submit a comic for this contest, must vote when the time comes to vote; however, they cannot vote for themselves.  If an entry wins in the contest, but the artist of that entry does not vote, that person will not get the prize.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Insha’Allah this contest will be given every month.  The winner will get a month subscription (or 3 month subscription if we change our mind).  Insha’Allah this contest will be given every month.  In addition to that anyone who enters this contest agrees that we are allowed to use their deviation on our websites as long as the websites are up and if we chose to we are allowed to publish them in print.  All credit will be given to the authors and artists.
The comics should involve Islam or Muslims in a positive manner.
Examples:
a) It can be about a girl struggling with a school and trying to be faithful and wearing her hijab.
b) It could be more fantasy like; A Muslim character is saving people's lives with special powers.
Be creative. It could have a political massage or it could have a religious message.  The choice is up to you.  If you want to have a political message, you can have a fantasy like story with a political twist.  You don’t have to be realistic, but you can if you chose to.
I would like continuous stories. If you start a series please continue to at least a fairly good ending. Remember every month you would have a new chance to win that subscription.  If you lose the first month, it does not mean your story was bad.   So you don’t need to scrap your story and start all over.  Remember, even if you do not win, we may very well place your manga on our website.  For that reason we want continuous stories.
If it is your first time entering this contest, you will need to submit a cover.  In addition to that submit at least 4 pages of Manga; however, the more pages you do the better because we take into consideration Quality, professional look, story, and hard work.  The more pages you do , we will recognize it as harder work.  Other things you could add to your comic to boost your advantage in winning are extras.  Extras would be like:  Logo, character profiles, description pages, summaries, preview of what happens next time, etc.  You are not required to do ANY of those if you want to enter, nor are you limited to our suggestions.
Each piece should have a beginning and a conclusion. We just don't want there to be unfinished stories. You could have a big story and many little stories in within the big story. Like an episode kind of thing.

SUBMITTING:

When submitting deviations for the contest you should title them the following:
"Muslim Manga Month ( the number of the month ) - your title and what ever else you want to put (e.g. –cover, -page1, etc.)"
Let us know if you have any better ideas.
After that, note us at Muslim-Manga with the title being “MMM CONTEST”

For that reason I decided to award tuffix with a month subscription.  I read something on here that it takes up to 15 days for paypal transactions to go through, so we are sorry for the inconvenience, but inshaAllah you WILL get the subscription.  We hope you will continue this manga next month.  Keep up the good work.

Now, at first glance I kinda did not like ProudRyukin13's manga BUT as I read it for the second time I realized how exciting it was.  It really is actually quite exciting.  I believe that if she used more traditional comic panels, it would have been more effective to a wider variety of audience.  I hope to see you in the next month's contest as well.  Keep up the good work and hey, you still got second place.
