Here are a few sketches I did to explore the action figure pose. Initially I sketch what I think would look the most interesting as a toy. After we decide upon a pose that we like we have to figure out if the pose will practically fit into packaging dimensions. We really like pose "A" but his arms were so stretched out that he would not fit properly into the packaging. We resolved this by bending his back arm upwards which allowed him to barely fit into packaging at a diagonal position. Ideally I would have liked his back arm fully extended as it is in the sketch but honestly, it was wonderful that it worked out as well as it did.
I really like pose A
I like Pose B, and your drawings are very neat.
i honestly think choice A would of been a better choice for his pose. i dont know why but it seems so elegant!
Well, maybe I did not communicate clearly enough but pose "A" was used but we tweaked it just a little. Raising his back arm up so that he could still fit in the packaging. I agree that both arms fully extended would have been ideal on an aesthetic level but you have to compromise when dealing with practical issues such as the cost of packaging.
