Those are just rubberbands to hold it in place for the picture ;)
the piece is made up of separate parts for casting

are those wires to hold the arms up or is it a part of the over all design if it is wire how do you keep it from cutting in to the clay?

and what type of cay did you use one this one?

Hey my man ,

Those are just rubber-bands holding it up together, But most of the Sculpey ( body ) is baked
and the armor is made out of Modeling Wax ( almost the same properties as Casteline ) so it very hard.

Thank you , Its actually pretty easy once you know
the technique. :)i use wax and a file. that way you
get to really control the curves and the surface.
