And there she was. (Note: this piece is available as a 7,000 x 4,000 pixel download; I hope you enjoy! ^^pq) Dear patient y'all!! I'm very honored to have made this piece (which may be a loading screen[!!]) for the upcoming fantastical indie game,
Dies Irae: Phantatiom Elements - which is being developed by an incredibly magnanimous creator, Jeremiah "Zank" Caudle, who was very patient with the long time I spent staring at this artwork whilst redoing and re-redoing it ("if you stare into the artwork, the artwork stares back at you?") Y'all can
follow regular updates on the game-in-progress, which chronicles the epic journeys of
Esther, an orphaned and spunky girl with an unknown past that's even mysterious to her! In this artwork, developer Zank told me that he wanted it to portray Esther facing the journey ahead - after her beloved companions are suddenly taken from her side. She holds onto mementos dropped by members of her party - like the pageboy hat in her hand, and the rucksack (when the website for the game goes back up, y'all can get to see who owns what from the gorgeous character designs!) - and looks over the land.
Dies Irae: Phantatiom Elements is still in development~! And I absolutely bet that
Zank would be glad to hear from interested folk who would like to chat about contributing art, music, vocal talents, dev talents! ((:3c

If your eyes feel alright, here are the high-res abridged steps and close-up for this piece!
