Thanks! I used inkscape 0.48.1 on making that vector. But I'm planning to upgrade mine to the latest stable version soon.
Nice one the shadowing looks like it is some sort of gradient mesh but from what i remember from inkscape there was no mesh tool. I am now curious to know what it is that you learnt.
Yup there is still no gradient mesh in inkscape. I just used the gradient tool, different levels of gaussian blurs and clipping. And I wish that the gradient mesh version in inkscape will soon be made.. ^_^
Thats how I do my shading and I use Illustrator.
Gradient meshes can be great but to be honest I like using blurs and clipping masks as I'm a little faster with them it does make the image a lot larger then if I used gradient meshes but with the latest version on Illustrator its not been a problem for a while.
