Time for a trip down the archives! This was art I did a long time ago for a secret project of mine, a comic adaptation of an RPG made by :iconcartoonconspiracy: and :iconone-eyed-pig:, based off of a role-playing community created by a small group of friends (you may have seen smatterings of art related to it on this account). I have the rough sketches for the first act/volume all drawn out, but the PDF here only shows my completed pages
NOW, THIS ART IS OLD. I did this back when I was 17 and there are plenty of anatomy errors and ill consideration of word-balloon placement. The shading is a little basic in my eyes too, but nonetheless I'm still pretty proud of what I was able to get done with this comic (especially the backgrounds) and I know that I put a lot of work into it, which I can definitely see as I look through these pages again. It's been a long time since I worked on this and I definitely want to pick this back up again. My original plan was to have it made into a bound comic via Blurb and then mailing copies to Randee and TJ and other people within that RP community from the past, and I still want to pursue that goal, so I can have something to fill up my portfolio more (and I want to finish what I started, of course). Still keeping to the original layout, dialogue and art style, I want to redraw these pages with improved anatomy and coloring. It may have been only a year since I first drew this, but I improved a lot throughout this year and there is some art in here that bother me a little because of weird anatomy or whatever (plus I'm a perfectionist). But like I said, there are a lot of certain things I'm still proud of and it would be a shame to just leave these pages in the dark with nobody ever seeing them, so here you go! (and I'm sorry for the annoying watermarks ^^; I should have lowered the opacity to make it easier to read the dialogue)
Brushes, patterns, textures and frames by :iconredheadstock: and :iconrayedwards:
Made traditionally on smooth Bristol paper with Pigma Micron pens, then scanned and colored on the computer with Adobe Photoshop CS5
