Hello again, chaps.
Just been hard at work pummelling my keyboard and the notebook on my phone drafting the Lore stories. 1 and a half down, 1 and a half to go. Plus Character Bios. The first one I finished which is in fact the second story in line stretches to just under 38000 words, 37 A4 pages approximately 70-100 pages in a printed novel depending on font size and paragraph structure. The other two will be much shorter, in the range of 5500 to 10000 words maybe.
The reason the second story took an age (first drafted in about 3 hard working weeks) was because there was choice characters and topics touched upon within the Genma Visage universe that couldn't be done justice in minimal summary. That being said, the angle that I approach my story writing on these Lore stories is that whilst the Genma Visage story itself is quite dialogue driven, the written stories allows a form of air to breath by streamlining to dialogue to a single narrator telling the story (although certain sentences are written as if a character is speaking it.)
Otherwise chuck in the artwork I did for these stories and you're looking at another graphic novels worth of work to populate 140 odd pages give or take. I'm not sure if it will be going to print per say, as the original idea of doing these was to give my website itself a lot more dash. But yes the online store will still coincide with the Lore releases.Incidentally the stories might be presented in a stylised manner along with the artwork so that you're not just looking at a wall of text. Mind you the second story would be spread into chapters to make it more bite size.
So yeah, in due time I'd like to make a few posts about certain topics in which I go from my usual dead quiet self to "Holy Moly, Tom! Slow down! Gordon Bennett!" Nothing preachy in mind or dependant on daft wacky theories of course, but still, you might wanna get your seat belt on just in case.
Onto some good news, London MCM October 18 convention has been booked and paid for!
