Film Rating: Transformers Dark Of The Moon

The third entry of the Michael Bay Transformers franchise..... It is Okay. 
The first film was a good start overall (Not perfect) but acceptable.
The Second film not as good in terms of writing, directing and overall presentation. (Good action scenes)

This film 'Dark Of The Moon' was a mixed bag.
Again, like with the previous two films, the positives go towards the soundtrack, voice acting and action scenes.
Story was written and directed a bit better this time as well (not as much terrible humour, still some).
Story is basically: The Decepticons want the space bridge with the intention of bring the Transformers home planet 'Cyberton' into Earth atmosphere and then using Earth's resources to rebuild Cybertron. In an attempt to stop the Decepticons, Optimus Prime travels to the moon and finds his mentor Sentinel Prime and brings him to Earth to revive him, however the Autobots are unaware of Sentinel's true intentions until he reveals that he is working with Megatron. (Yeah, Sentinel Prime is the main antagonist).

What I didn't like is there so many new characters, yet most of which get less than 2 mins screen time (Shockwave was the biggest let down, could have been excellent), the human characters were okay, nothing special, not great. 
I have mixed feelings about Carly (Rosie Huntington Whitely wasn't all bad, just doesn't come across as likeable as Megan Fox) 
I didn't like the ending either; how Optimus tears off Megatron's head after he defeated Sentinel Prime in the final act, doesn't feel like something Optimus would do. ''Yes I know there was the original ending for DOTM in which Megatron lives and asks Optimus to end the war''-something along those lines.  Don't know why Bay changed it because the original ending would have been so much better and fitting. 

My score: 6 / 10
Not a bad entry, not good decisions on some aspects of the story (Like the ending).
