My new art book, printed in association with Strix Publishing, is finally back from the printers and available on my Etsy site. Interested parties can find it here:…
One of the best parts about writing an art book is getting the chance to explain old stories about the creation process of various pieces. In the seventh update for my art book Kickstarter we share insight into the development of the old Call of Cthulhu D20 cover created by A.S. Koi and myself back in 2002.

With just over two weeks of my art book Kickstarter remaining, we have announced new reward levels and upcoming events. If you have not checked out the campaign, please conisder doing so.

I have been working on an art book for nearly three years and we just launched the Kickstarter this morning. I partnered up with Strix Publishing for the book and have been focused on sculpting rewards for it since the first of the year. The book itself is a solid retrospective of my work over the past eighteen years. It has been an amazing project!

If you have the time, please have a look:…

I just set up a new Facebook page dedicated to promotions ofr my art. If you are interested, please check out:…

I just got home to discover I had received a Daily Deviation for my bronze Carnivean mask! Thanks everyone who commented! I am running out the door to get dinner after a long day of work, so replying will have to wait. Just wanted to say thanks!
Thanks everyone for all the kind words. A little while ago  Vektar text to tell me I had gotten one and I just got home to see for myself.

Watcher is one of my favorite pieces and I was very happy for the opportunity to cast it in bronze. Of course now I want a second for some added symmetry, but there you go.
I will be showing new (and not so new) works at the Nautilus Gallery in Georgetown (Seattle) in September. The opening is Sep. 10 and runs from 4 until midnight.

For nearly five years my writing partner Nicole Vega and I have been working Unhallowed Metropolis, the gas mask chic role-playing game of Neo-Victorian horror. After the initial print run of the core book sold out back in 2009 (it was released in 2008), it is finally coming back into print from Atomic Overmind Press and is due for a worldwide release this September.

From our publisher:

"Set two-hundred years after the advent of the zombie Plague, Unhallowed Metropolis™, Revised is an apocalyptic Neo-Victorian dystopia written by Jason Soles and Nicole Vega. Inspired by the works of Mary Shelley, Edgar Allen Poe, and Robert Louis Stevenson, and painstakingly researched by the authors, Unhallowed Metropolis provides a rich role-playing experience steeped in alchemy, mad science, and undeath."

The game features truly amazing art, including a full-color cover by photo-sculptor George Higham with interior illustrations by Eliza Gauger, Chris Walton, Melissa Uran, Raven Mimura, Brian Snoddy, Robert Tritthardt, Aron Dittbrenner, Trent Thynes, and Samuel Araya.

Unhallowed Metropolis, Revised is now available for pre-ordering in the Atomic Overmind Press webstore! From now until the end of July, you can order the book, and also get a special deal on the PDF along with it. Additionally, one of the first fifty pre-orders will be chosen at random to receive a limited edition Unhallowed Metropolis poster!
I am the guest artist at Starfish Studios in November. I will be showing November 4th for First Thursday and in a special artist reception Saturday, November 13th.

Unfortunantely, due to scheduling conflict with my bronze pouring class I will not make it until late in the night for the First Thursday showing (I will be at the artist reception though).

Thanks to Anita, Chuckie, and Marc for helping me sort this out.

I found a short video of the Black Plague art show. It looks great a great night! Unfortunately, I was stranded at Comic Con. So close, yet so far.…

Opens July 24th, 9 pm

This is my first major art show in five years. It is a group show with a lot of very talented dark artists. It should be incredible! Unfortunately I will be at Comic Con and cannot personally attend.

I just added four new books to my Etsy store including a Dore illustrated edition of Milton's Paradise Lost that conceals a wicked blade, a massive Necronomicon sketch book, and skull adorned copies of Dracula and Tales of Mystery & Imagination. Interested parties can find them at:
If anyone is interested I have added a line of cold cast bronze and marble bird skulls to my Etsy site. You can find the site here:

I am looking for photographers and illustrators to work on an upcoming Unhallowed Metropolis book. Unhallowed Metropolis is the the gas mask chic role-playing game of Neo-Victorian horror. The game involves adult horror themes and takes place after the advent of a Victorian zombie plague. Lots of dark science, vampires, and gallows humor. To find out more, check out:

I am looking for reliable and talented artists who can work on a deadline. Illustrations should be realistic and iconic. The photographs fall into the darkside of steampunk and will require some period costuming and effects make up. All art in the book will be printed in black and white.

As a quick note, this is a creator driven labor of love and we cannot afford not pay a lot, but we shine as much attention on our contributors as we can muster. Our release so far have been very well received.

If you are interested, please let me know.

I just opened a new Etsy store featuring my artwork. Interested parties can find it here:
