When you think of photography on DeviantArt, who do you think of? Let me know in the comments!

This is a series I've wanted to do for years, where in each volume I go over some of the names on this site that make the photography community what it is!

Back to origins

If you love nature as much as I do, you'll love exploring @DavidMnr's gallery. I can almost always recognise one of his photos. His forest shots are typically my favourite - it's not necessarily easy to make a bunch of trees look almost mystical or ethereal, but @DavidMnr masters that. A deviant for the past 7 years, he has hundreds of deviations for you to check out. And no, I'm not just including him because he's also from France ;)

Escape

@Unkopierbar has been on this site 12 years, amazing us all with each new upload. It's hard to even settle on one picture to show, Julian has so many amazing captures. Something about his nature shots is emotive, expressive. You're transported to another part of the world, and on top of that you get some sort of emotion out of it. Julian really is an incredible member of our community!

@icarus-ica is what I regard as one of DA's many masters of all things architecture and urban-related. He has a keen eye, and shows us architectural structures in a unique light, oftentimes taking something seemingly ordinary and capturing it in a way that will best grab our attention. Symmetry, asymmetry, colour, black and white, he has a little bit of everything, a gallery everyone can find something they enjoy in.

I Didn't Give Anyone Else A Choice

@Mouselemur are the photography community's iconic duo of sisters who bring us photographs of the cutest and most fascinating animals. From derpy shots, to fearsome portraits, to beautiful moments between animals, they've got it all! They are an integral part of the community, posting very regularly and having grown in skill before our very eyes throughout their 9 years on this site. Honestly one of my favourite things is seeing the clever titles they come up with for their photos.

Kristinka and Luna

@LucreciaMortishia is one of the many outstanding portrait photographers we have on DA. Her portraits are rich in colour and vibrancy. Her style of photography and her editing make her portraits easily recognisable as hers. If you haven't already, I'm sure you'll fall in love with her work.

Pumpkin Pie

@Catlaxy is one of the many well-rounded photographers in the community. She posts photographs from a variety of categories: APN and still life being the most prominent ones in her gallery. She captures both food and nature in a beautiful and eye-gripping way, with great colours and composition.

Around the World

If you've looked at photography on DA at any point in the past several years, odds are you've come across @AnthonyPresley's urban photography. He has mastered his own unique and distinctive style, making his artwork easily recognisable. He helps us travel through images, discovering different city corners, filled with various different people (or not).

Melancholy

If you love classic portraiture, you're bound to love @Alex1magine's work. He masters lighting, creativity and composition. Each of his portraits is skillfully executed, sure to make you wanting to see more.

Somewhere in Portugal 92

I'd wager to say that most everyone in the photography community knows @JACAC and loves his work. You'd think architecture photography would get old and repetitive after a while, but not with him! He has a keen eye and each of his photographs has something special to offer. And on top of that, he also has street, nature and portrait photography that's sure to impress you. A true jack of all trades it seems!

Frankfurt 2.0

@vw1956 is one of the 'masters of infrared photography' we have here on DA. A deviant for 17 years, with over 2k deviations, he has a wide variety of gorgeous shots for you to discover. I certainly couldn't imagine the photography community without him!

summer inside me

If you're looking for poignant portraits, look no further than @Helea1's account. You'll be stunned by the gorgeous, moving and beautifully stylized shots you'll find. You'll also find some equally beautifully crafted photomanipulations. The more you dig through their gallery, the more you'll be wowed at their talent.

hit the road just one more time

From abstract photography, to street photography, to urban photography, to architecture photography, @EintoeRn seems to do it all! One of the community's most active and consistent posters (with over 3k deviations), he has been on the site for 13 years and just recently became a senior member! You'll be sure to find something you like in his very eclectic gallery.

I hope you enjoyed this feature - feel free to share in the comments who your favourite photographers on the site are

A very nice collection of words and photography. Well done!
