dreams i've been having in ballpoint pens without windows for weeks and wind blows elbows against those trade show sign posts hindmost corridors.....

I love that very fine silkily threaded area on her head right above where her eyebrows connect! Of course, I am biased and easy to please because I don't use ball-point-pen and am envious of those that do! I would like to see her within an actual environment, I think it would help the viewer to get more of a sense of her being in a visual space. I mean you can tell what is in front and what is behind, and there is definitely a sense of volume in certain areas, but I think it would be strengthened by a background.
Something I myself have been learning in school which I think is interesting to think about, is how the viewer is supposed to be lead through the work. Some areas recieve more emphasis, because they are the focal point, where other areas recieve less. My eye doesn't seem to know exactly where to settle itself. And seems to be getting stuck in the bottom area of her hair because it is so sharp and jagged looking.
It's hard with sketches to be critical on the computer, sometimes they look completely different in person...
But this is a wonderful piece! I love the right side of her face, all the shadowing is so spookily cool! :)
Seems like you draw her a lot, is she a muse?

Interesting. The parts seem disconected from eachother, and the hair is neatly abstract. The square quality of your linework really gives this a visual kick.
