looks like your having fun

and the beard is definitely manly...but you might not want it to get TOO long, youll end up with that "creepy" version of manly beards...nobody wants that...

except creepy manly-men. :P

I bet that was a blast! :D
I've always wanted to go to a Comic Conven.
What's your fav comic? Do you have one?
I just watched the trailer for the Dark Knight... wow, that does look good. I really need to go see that. I've been warned that its dark, and everyone keeps saying that Ledger is "Eerie". Interesting how throughout most of the trailer I watched they don't even show him. I'm was sitting there the whole time going "WHERE IS THE JOKER?" What a great marketing ploy.

hmm, don't really have one.
i think they did a nice job marketing TDK - they didn't give away the whole thing like other trailers have.
what comic were you asking about in your other comment?

I don't have one either. I tend to like comics to have their own original look though...
someone gave me some comics but they all look the same, and I couldn't get into the stories at all... I thought they seemed like... what do I want to term them "fluff" no substance. The pictures were pretty... but really what's the point of pretty pictures without a story? Its like if you were to meet a pretty person who has no depth *shivers*
But the gentleman at the comic bookstore really helped me out, recommending some stuff that had substance to it, and so now I'm fascinated by the whole thing.

The comic I was asking about was the Meanwhile- Elswhere one. I didn't know whether you just were playing with that sketch, or whether that is an actual character that you've thought about, and have more planned for.

I have two comic strips ideas that I want to get going, as well as at least a graphic novel. However, its all bare bones right now. Really wanting to understand more about character building and actual comedy. I'm hooked on kooky comedy like Wylie Coyote & RoadRunner or Tom & Jerry. Or the way that Dilbert is. That stuff just gives me an immense sense of joy to look at. Don't ask me why, I just like the idea of making people smile or laugh or feel like someone's addressed something that stresses them out or upsets them in a funny way.

last trip to the comic shop, i bought a book called "Pocket Full of Rain" by Jason. I enjoyed it immensely - not the typical comic at all, very refreshing.

the Meanwhile guy was totally made up as i drew it, like half the stuff i draw is :]

i got some half-baked stories in mind to do too (figure i'd start small) - a couple stories that are really silly and might only be amusing to myself... but that might be the best reason to do them.
