Alright fellow followers,
this is my first journal entry since ever. It feels strange to write here again, since my deviantArt profile turned into some kind of morgue with some occasionally appearing zombies made of art. I am willing to change that, what actually is very important to my life now. I finally decided to apply for studying graphics design at a well-known university here in Germany. It takes a lot effort to be able to apply and hopefully pass all the selection processes at first I have to update and re-create my portfolio. And that is where you guys are in the game: What do you think could be stuff for my portfolio? There are a lot of weird pieces in my gallery which I don't like anymore, but I guess I have such a personal point of view, since they all belong to some parts of me and my soul.
Anyways! Make a selection. Tell me what you think could be a nice deal to satisfy the jury! Most important will be to show my interest in typography and my skills in turning typo in some kind of visual communication.
Oh, and please keep your fingers crossed the next months to support me. Thanks a lot, especially for making me what I am today. The decision to become a professional graphics designer would not have been made if I'd never started to share my art with this great community. I appreciate that!WEEKLY FEATURE 1st week of March 2012Of course I would not write a new journal again without my weekly feature set. So here we go these are my three favourite pieces I've seen the last week.
| I love the concept behind it the skulls are cool, yes! And feltpens are a great tool to create art.
2. "Willgoz kitchen tools"
| Typography made of elements can be really cool. The overall look makes it so special, love the details and the sharpness. That illustrative style is something I adore these days.
3. "The Gears Wailed."
| Do have I have to say anything about how much I admire that love to the detail? So much to discover! Obviously, this piece took a long time to be made. Great that midnightINK
shared it with us!
