WHY HE IS ON THE LIST:
There may not be a more beloved and respected female character in comics then Storm
a fan favorite member of the popular X-MEN, Storm has been a hit since her debut in GIANT SIZE X-MEN number 1. Her control of the weather makes her a powerful character
But its her character that makes her powerful. Often depicted as the big sister or the nurturing mother figure to the X-men, she has proven her resolve and inner strength has no equal
She has been a Weather Witch, a Goddess of Thunder, Queen of Wakanda, and she has even made a Mowhawk in Black Leather look AMAZING
From her Dave Cockrum design outfit to her white hair and blue eyes, Storm has always stood out on any page and book she was in
No matter the roster of the X-men over the years it wasn't complete unless Storm stood among them
Unlike Wonder Woman,despite Storm's popularity she has never had a ongoing series as her as the lead which does not seem to change anytime soon

Storm is pretty much Chris Claremont's baby. He's probably the only guy to write a Storm ongoing series and do the character justice.
