Today marks the 10th anniversary of Gene Wood's death. The veteran game show announcer died of lung cancer 10 years ago today 6 years after his retirement. He had announced numerous of Goodson-Todman game shows such as Beat The Clock (which he later hosted), Password Plus/Super Password, Match Game, Card Sharks, but his greatest success ever was the announcer of Family Feud. Yeah, he did a guest voice of a character named Bob on an episode of "Captain Planet and the Planeteers" intitled: "You Bet Your Planet". And that was during the Hanna-Barbera era of the show.
