Wow, MrEnter really has become like Brian from Family Guy: An author with both copy\paste mentality (Growing Around) and writer's block (nuh, I need a looong creative pause involving video games). Simultaneously, he likes to wax intellectually about a kids show nobody cares about anymore (not even the authors). Well done, MrEnter!

You managed to yet again remind me of a show I loved as a kid. If only Hulu or Netflix had Ed Edd n' Eddy on streaming, then I would be watching Fa La La Ed again for Christmas. Too bad Cartoon Network isn't showing holiday specials this year. It kinda makes me sad.

This is my first year where I have to work. It's at a gas station that's open 365 days a year. Fortunately, those holidays you have off tend to be the least busy, since most people are just going to be staying home.

You make a good point. All those "white wintery Christmas" cliches can come off the wrong way to those who don't get snow on the holidays. Why, this is starting to remind me of "Duck the Halls" - a Mickey Mouse special that aired last year - which teaches a very similar lesson (basically Donald chooses to stay in the cold rather than migrate to a warmer climate with the other ducks and becomes gravely ill as a result).

I live in an area where it rarely snows on winter and seeing some specials always seemed a tad bit isolating.

:iconrockomodern--witch:
Plus because there isn't any snow around where I live now (it used to snow a ton) it gets really awkward to see snow on TV and then look outside to see fresh cut fake grass and no flakes whatsoever, asking your stepmom and dad what happened out of a misplaced sense of Christmas "cheer".

I think if you make a Growing Around Christmas special, Enter, I think it would be amazing seeing what you would do differently from most specials using whatever the GA equivalent of Christmas is!

Was not expecting this video to come out while I was at WORK...

Anyway, I don't know if the Miracle on Evergreen Terrace or The "Surprise" reviews are gonna be out by New Years Day, so I'm gonna be placing my Bets on what the Worst Reviewed Episodes of 2017 are gonna be RIGHT NOW:

10. Either Big Paw Howie from Almost Naked Animals or Going Bananas from Rocket Monkeys (my money's on the former)
9. Invisible Network of Kids-Armed to the Teeth
8. Donkey Kong Country Cartoon-The Big Switch-A-Roo
7. Shnookums and Meat-Pain in the Brain
6. Squirrel Boy-The Big Haggle Hassle
5. Committed-Two Minutes to Paradise
4. The Little Clowns of Happytown-I'm Just Like You/I Can Do It
3. Hammerman-Defeated Grafitti
2. Family Guy-Brian's a Bad Father
1. Big Mouth-Pilot Episode

Hmm... Actually, I have a feeling this is either gonna be cut down to a Top 5, or it's gonna be a list of the worst episodes he's EVER Reviewed as a 5-Year Anniversary thing (actually the timing for one of those would be REALLY Good...)

After Mr Enter did some reconsidering of Big Mouth I don't think it will be number 1, I think that dishonor will go to the Emoji Movie.

Keep in mind Movies don't usually count for these things (even short ones like Rapsittie or Dorbees)

But I could probably see Big Mouth being lower on the list because of the afterthoughts...

4:01 - 4:13 "the fa la la la ed is more in line with your typical Ed Edd n Eddy episode. it takes place in the summer and it's explicitly designed to feel like the typical ed edd eddy episode. which ironically helps give it its own identity among the millions of other Holiday episodes out there."

Interestingly enough, I feel the same way about the Phineas and Ferb season 3 episode "A Phineas and Ferb Family Christmas": As opposed to the season 2 episode "Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation", it takes place in the summer, it's more in line with the typical Phineas and Ferb episode. Both fa la la la ed and P&F family christmas(season 3) are the standard 11 min long while Jingle Jingle Jangle and P&F christmas vacation(season 2) are double length episodes. By the way, I liked both the P&F episodes. Just thought this might be an interesting comparison between ed edd eddy and phineas and ferb. Never got round to watching ed, edd, eddy much so i don't have much of an opinion there

That's how I felt about all of the King of the Hill christmas episodes as due to the show taking place in Texas it was very rare to see any snow.

Hopefully someday the holidays will mean things again and people will take breaks more. Makes you wonder if we just need to do something different? You know, like spice things up? It's kind of like how one time I ordered a cake with asters, sunflowers, gourds, and pumpkins on it because I think roses are a bit overused.

Personally I can find enjoyment with both episodes, so I probably shouldn't really take sides on which is better.

P.S., You seriously better not try to trigger an Impact again. Last thing I need in life is to be under NERV rule until they wind up destroying the world.

Earlier than I expected... still happy about it, though. I feel a similar way about holidays. The truth is that last Christmas Eve, there was an "incident" I had with my brother because I wanted to go home well before 9 P.M. (long story). Ed Edd n Eddy is one of my favorite cartoons ever, and I enjoyed it for the humor. One of my favorite episodes was the one where Eddy tried to make a home movie to impress his brother. I also prefer Fa-La-La-La-Ed to Jingle Jingle Jangle as the latter's ending sours it a little. Out of the main cast, Marie and Lee Kanker were my least favorite, and there are people who actually like Marie. And was that joke about the seasons a reference to the Norm of the North review?

I love that episode too. It's one of my favorites along with the one where the Eds trick Rolf into thinking he's back in his homeland, and others.
