This should be coming out in the next few days, with the YouTube episode. YouTube has done a lot of shit over the years. I've complained about a lot of shit, but hopefully this puts everything that they've done in context. Everything from Google+ to their broken copyright system to the frightening double standards.

I didn't even get to go over everything in order to keep this part under half an hour (keep in mind that every episode of Technocracy is another piece of a bigger whole. It's all one documentary and I'll put it all together in one final piece when everything is done).

To put things in context, there's a YouTuber named Mumkey Jones who basically makes edgy jokes/content, but it was still within YouTube's guidelines. His videos had been demonetized in the past, but upon dispute they were remonetized. Out of nowhere, Mumkey's channels were deleted. One of them had no views because it was on private. And when it was deleted there was outcry about this, but his channel still has not been restored.

At the same time, there was someone who filmed himself brutally murdering a cat and uploading it to YouTube. People complained to YouTube, and... his channel is still up. I'm not going to link it because no one should see the damn thing. But as far as I can tell, although the guy was arrested, not only is his channel up, but the video that he made is still up.

Let me be clear - what you decide to stand against determines what you stand for. When you take down someone like Mumkey in what very clearly appears to be targeted, but you do not go after someone who brutally murders a cat... well, there's no other way to say it but YouTube supports cat murderers.

Great title card. I can't help but imagine a world with reviewers all living in the same city that's entirely ran by corporations. We were blind to the true nature of these sites and found ourselves out of a job when companies decided to control what we can and can't say about their content. (While some places in the city are still part of the public domain, almost anywhere else is owned by a private company)

A cafe on the edge of the city is one of the only places reviewers can go without worry and always welcome to share their viewers on content sort of like a poetry readings.
-The Bar tender is played by Joey T C.Palooza.
-Rebel Taxi is seen with his podcasters.
-Cellspex, RoboBuddies, Gem Reviews, Shadow Strider, Pieguy ect. are regular customers in the place.
-Lewtoons takes center stage to talk about a new show even though he's been out of the game for awhile
-Passed out on a barstool after drinking 6 bottles of soda pop, is Channel Hopper who just lost his channel due to being inactive as part of a new policy implemented by Youtube.
At 9pm, a Mystery figure pops in through the doors all soaked in rain water and proceeds to sit at the far corner of the bar under a dim light in his trench coat and hat. (Mr.Enter: So this is what it's come to?)
*camera pans over the entire cafe to see more and more reviewers all stuck on what to do next.

- First off, this art rocks! Props to the artist! -

Second, I am not sure why, though it seems mostly on money. The internet can use whatever info it receives to no end, depending on the amount of money one has, as well as hacking into private information. People getting away from this stinks, especially with the money issue, as most companies might just turn a blind eye, in hopes of still being online, but hey I'm no expert on this.
And YouTube channels being shut down? Oh boy now that I could seriously rant on, as it's unfair just what is on the internet, compared to what used to be in many cases.
People can get famous on the internet for doing dumb, dangerous, and cruel things, to others and themselves...and yet they aren't even suspended. Thus not only being horrible role models for kids and pre-teens alike, but basically making stereotypes seem on the internet seem more likely, which it isn't and shouldn't. I won't go any further, as I know others have, and can do better at explaining such channels that deserve to be shut down.

Drawing is well done...though I've never worried about the 'monitization' aspect. I'd very much push edginess to the extreme, South Park Season 1 style. ;) It's also why the Pilot Epic for Myth of the Legendary Warrior had a couple of grizzly moments.

I saw the video and to be honest I really hope you are details on the next ones! As you didn't make any real arguments for net neutrality which needs to happen. Or bring up the fact that both B(the one that was bought for amazing Spiderman ad space can't figure out how to properly spell?) and Ask Jeeves went out of business through bundling in a vast variety of other methods. Or are you saving those for the Google search program?

Slowly but surely, we're coming to the death of the wild west that is the internet.

How long until we end up in the public enemy era?

Great video! Ya’know, with all the information that i’ve learned from you because of that one video.... I’m surprised that YouTube hasn’t been in a lawsuit yet.

Is there going to be one for Patreon? After all, they do the exact same kind of thing.

As someone who is a cat lover and owns two cats, #YouTubePromotesCatMurder. YouTube is very VERY guilty of double standards.

Excellent title card, by the way. I'm looking forward to the first episode of Technocracy.
