I have a treatment, short series summary, and scripts for the first three episodes of Herb the Worm done. The meat of the first two scripts you all can read in the old (crappy) comics I posted here. I've added a few scenes since I'm not trying to squeeze it all into a monthly comic format. Next, I've broken down the first episode into the parts I need to make it. The goal is to have an animatic by the end of August that won't embarrass me too much. There should be more scripts by then, or a little afterward. We'll see how the summer goes - I also have a bit of chores to do about the house. I've found some great Open Source software for my little Linux laptop. We're going with GIMP/Krita/Blender and Natron, so far. I might add others. It looks like I can get a Wacom tablet to work for me here, too. All great news! I'll surely post some video or whatever as soon as I have some. Cheers!

Good evening... Three sketch images uploaded to the Scraps folder. Working through the character "Tyler". Tyler is a shrew, and I've never drawn one of those before. I'd have never thought of drawing a shrew before. The only thing I know about a shrew is Auntie Shrew from the Secret of NIMH. Shrews are strange. Beautiful, but strange. I hope to upload more sketches in a few months. Until then, I'm writing. It's fun. I've heard back from a few of the folks I've sent samples to for Lethe and Herb. Friends, nothing professional. Great feedback, though. A few things to work out. Looking forward to showing. I'm still experimenting with software and found a few I like. Blender - that grease pencil is AMAZING!!! More on that later. Cheers, you guys =D

Good evening! Things aren't as simple as they used to be. I suppose that's the slogan for the year that was 2020. I have no scanner. I don't have access to my software of choice unless I'm at work (which I'm not right now - furloughed). I'm not even using Windows anymore. I inherited a older laptop that wasn't running Windows very well, so I blitzed it and installed Linux Mint. It's a good distro, although I've had to learn a lot before I can get going again. I'm still not totally up-to-speed, but good enough to do simple things. NEW SOFTWARE GIMP is the hardest hill to climb. I've been using Adobe software since 1993 - prior to their purchase of Aldus and Macromedia. Photoshop is just like a pen or pencil now. Simple tasks in GIMP are a battle - but, it's free and works best with my very limited resources. I'm looking into a few different animation programs, too. I'll get back to my favored tools sooner or later. We'll see how that goes. NEW ART All that said, there's new
