My Mid Sodor Railway Engines Lineup sprites

Here's my line-up for the Mid Sodor Railway engines.

Top row left to right:

#1. Duke. The oldest, wisest, and most experienced engine on the Mid Sodor Railway, Duke prefers to keep everything "just so." He may have a headteacher attitude and maintain his authority at all times, but, can be quick to apply his knowledge and years of experience to help guide and correct any younger engine. He is proud of his name and keen to uphold the respect it merits. He can often be heard to say "That would never suit His Grace!" upon hearing or seeing something that he takes disapproval to or pedantically stating how he thinks someone would have adhered to the rules and regulations in his younger days.

#2. Stanley. Imported from Philadelphia, Stanley is a very strong American engine. His accent frequently confuses his Queen's English-speaking co-workers, but, he's able to explain when he can. When he first came to the railway, his flanges sat perfectly in the middle of both rails, leading to frequent derailments. To correct this, he was converted into a pumping engine until he received properly-gauged wheels. Stanley is a friendly engine and will gladly work with any train he's given.

#3. Falcon. A somewhat cheeky engine, Falcon prefers working with passenger trains, particularly with Gertrude and Millicent. When he first came to the railway, he has been known for being impulsive, arrogant, pompous, rude, stubborn, naughty, and bad-tempered. Despite all of this, Falcon always worked to get things done and wanted to be a reliable, goodhearted, and really useful engine.

#4. Stuart. Extremely enthusiastic, Stuart is willing to work with any train he's given as long as he has his guard's van, Cora. He can be occasionally cheeky, but, is kind-hearted, well-meaning, and good mannered. He can also be somewhat prone to being a little naïve at times and perhaps take things a little too literally. With an infectious attitude and high spirits, Stuart is kind and hard-working to a fault and seldom grumbles about late hours and/or extra work.

#5. Albert. Falcon's eager younger brother, Albert is an excitable engine with a great work ethic. As long as Albert has work to do, he's a very agreeable engine. With boundless curiosity, Albert shows keen eagerness to learn as much as he can. While he idolizes his brother, Albert is much humbler and kinder.

#6. Jim. A hard-working and patient engine, Jim is the railway's designated goods engine. His favorite train is the Horse and Cart, a mineral goods train that stopped to shunt anywhere and allowed two and a half hours for the 25 miles.

#7. Tim. Jim's heavily modified brother, Tim is always in a hurry when taking passengers to Cas-ny-Hawin. Despite his impatience, Tim is a very friendly engine.

Bottom row left to right:

#8. Jerry. Despite his jokester nature, Jerry works as hard as any other engine. To him, any work is good work.

#9. Atlas. As a mining engine, Atlas can be a bit rough and has strong language, but, he's quite friendly when you get to know him. His French accent makes him hard to understand sometimes.

#10. Alfred. Atlas' twin brother, Alfred is very similar in personality, though, Alfred's a bit more abrasive. Like Atlas, Alfred is often misunderstood due to his French accent.

#11. John. Jim and Tim's triplet brother, John has no preference for passengers or goods. John is often put on standby to pull the breakdown train wherever it's needed, but, can be given other jobs as well. Whatever job he's given, John does it very professionally.

#12. Jennings. A sister to Rheneas and Dolgoch, Jennings is a cheerful engine always eager to help out when she can. Like her brothers before her, Jennings is determined to see her duties through even if she's in poor shape.

#13. Smudger. An engine built from the stolen plans for Dolgoch, Smudger is the illegitimate brother of Dolgoch, Rheneas, and Jennings. Because of the nature of his creation, Smudger frequently experiences bad luck, which was exacerbated by being numbered 13. As a result of it, he was rather pessimistic, sarcastic, and bitter. Despite this, he was very good-hearted and was more concerned about what his jinx did to others more than himself. One accident lead him to be temporarily converted into a generator.

#14. Andreas. A troublesome engine with an inflated sense of self-importance, Andreas believed he was better than all the other engines and mostly pulls express passenger trains. His attitude is frowned upon by Gertrude and Millicent. His arrogance towards industrial engines resulted in him being sold to a factory.
